Set in a crumbling execution chamber, The Dying Wish follows two weary hangmen, Rooney and Ingmar, as they prepare to execute Paul Freeman, a man condemned for an escalating list of bizarre and nonsensical crimes that reveal more about the broken system than the man himself. As new methods of execution are proposed, unexpected visitors arrive, and the charges grow ever more surreal, the piece spirals into absurdity, dehumanisation, and moral ambiguity. The line between duty and cruelty blurs, forcing both the hangmen and the audience to question the very nature of guilt, punishment, and complicity. Darkly comic, surreal, and uncomfortably real, The Dying Wish confronts audiences with the contradictions of institutional violence and our collective moral blindness. It builds toward an eye-opening and unexpected finale that is more funny and thought-provoking than frightening, shining a light on the moral absurdities of our own world. Content warnings: Age 18+. Explores dark themes including injustice, execution, and grief, but is handled with absurdist humour and satirical style. Some scenes contain mild strong language, flashing lights, and loud sounds. We delve into the past to shed light on the present, producing daring, socially relevant new writing rooted in classic theatre traditions while remaining environmentally conscious with set, props, and costume. Written by the exceptionally talented Brazilian writer Mauro Fazion, the play balances echoes of history with urgent contemporary questions. Mauro describes working with Fractured Time as “aligning with my ambition for a new kind of theatre — breaking the conventions of stage and film into tiny pieces.”

Rooney
Omar is delighted to join Fractured Time's professional debut at the Lambeth Fringe, playing the part of Rooney. He recently finished his PhD from UCL in Body Dysmorphia and Eating Disorders. His most recent credits include Murder of Course at the Canal Cafe, and Run at it Horny, a comedy by Mark Ravenhill at the Wilton Music Hall. He can also be seen walking with personality up and down the streets of London.

Chris Gallagher is a graduate of Drama Centre London, originally from Australia he launched his career with the Australian Shakespeare Company in ‘Shakespeare’s Best Bits’ other theatre credits include ‘Peaked Caps and Khaki’ and ‘No More Silence’ both with Wordsmith Theatre. Screen credits include 'Aunty Donna: 1999' ,‘The Escape Room’, ‘A Message Away’ and ‘Fifth Story’.

Chris trained at the Actor's Temple. Theatre includes THE LONG SONG (Chichester Festival Theatre), SANKARA (Cockpit Theatre) and ICARUS IN LOVE (The Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter). TV includes DOCTORS (BBC), CORONATION STREET (ITV), IT'S A SIN (Channel 4) and THE BAY (ITV). Film includes AGENT FROM ABUJA (Road 2 Redemption Films) and PLAYTIME (Dimmer Darker Productions). Chris is also an award-nominated voiceover artist and a children's educational presenter.
Iago Cabrero
The Cleaner
Iago Cabrero is a Spanish actor based between London and Madrid, working across both cities. His acting journey began at London’s Cervantes Theatre, where he trained and also worked behind the scenes as a production and stage manager, making his professional stage debut there in 2019.
In 2024, Iago completed the three-year acting course at the Laboratorio de Teatro William Layton in Madrid. Some of his theatre credits include Gente Estúpida (Cervantes Theatre London), Los Figurantes(Teatro Reina Victoria) and Las Tres Cerditas (Nave 73). On screen, he has appeared in Juani the Film, Feliz Cumpleaños, Dance Till the Crack of Dawn and 5 Minutos Más, among others.

Romeo Olukotun is a British-Nigerian actor and poet with a passion for telling bold, resonant stories matched by his unique life story. From a young age, Romeo has navigated the challenges of severe burns that left distinctive scars on his torso and neck, embodying resilience and diversity in every role he pursues. Romeo’s stage work blends intensity, nuance, and presence, and he continues to explore roles that challenge perceptions and ignite conversation. Romeo’s journey is not just about personal achievements but about inspiring representation and inclusivity in the media to transform the industry.
Cyril Auclair
The Engineer
Cyril Auclair is thrilled to be playing the Engineer in The Dying Wish by Mauro Fazion. Cyril Has previously appeared in a number of plays including as Col. Wilfried Wooster in Exit Who? by Fred Carmichael, and as "Man" and "Him" in Neil LaButte's Lovely Head and Helter Skelter respectively. His screen credits include short films and an upcoming feature to be filmed in 2026. Cyril graduated from the Giles Foreman Centre for Acting in London in July 2024.
Andrea Furlotti
The Mother
Andrea Milton-Furlotti is an accomplished actress and producer with over 20 years of experience in the film, television, and stage. She received her training at the Arts Educational School in London.
Andrea's career highlights include a USA tour with "The New Vic Theatre Company," where she performed in classics such as "The Canterbury Tales" as Franklin and Cook, and as Belle in "A Christmas Carol," directed by Mickey O'Donahue of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She has also held lead roles as Janet in the National Tour of "The Rocky Horror Show," Cinderella in "Cinderella" at the Princess Theatre in Torquay, and Sandi in the National Tour of "Grease." Additionally, she portrayed Karen in ITV's "Book Tower" series "Moonwind," Becky Bartlett in "Mr. Cinders" at the Blackpool Grand, and served as the Witch/Dance Captain in "The Wizard of Oz" at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley.
More recently, Andrea has showcased her vocal talents as a soloist with Barry Sapsford’s 16-piece swing band, performing across the UK. She also portrayed lead Eleanore Bryant at The Pentameters Theatre Hampstead in “Mirror Mirror”, and later at The Tristan Bates, West End. Her work in the short film adapted from the play earned several accolades, including the award for Best International Experimental Short Film at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.
In recent years, Andrea has taken on various film roles, including Nina in "A Very English Christmas" on Channel 5, with Kimberly Nixon. She has also established "Forever Marilyn Productions," where she is producing an upcoming eight-part series on Marilyn Monroe, set to be released in 2026.

Precious Scott(they/them) started their training at The Boury Academy (CIC Organisation) a weekend performing arts school. They furthered their training with two years at The Urdang, on a two year AVT course. One of their most recent credits include. BAFTA nominated, BFI Funded, short film The Date. Directed by Amy Hodge. Precious said Acting for them is being able to address issues, and spread messages with a beautiful art form, they have a burning passion for.

Verônica Sarno
Director
Verônica Sarno is a London-based Brazilian actress, director, and acting coach, with Portuguese and Italian heritage. She earned a place at the prestigious Drama Centre London, where she was one of only two students in her class to graduate with Distinction in Classical Acting. Since graduating, Verônica has worked extensively as an actress across both stage and screen. She was awarded Best Upcoming Actress at a Brazilian theatre festival.
During the pandemic, Verônica began her journey as a director and has since built a growing body of work across theatre festivals and new writing platforms.
In addition to her creative work, she runs her own acting coaching company, Scene Study Verônica Sarno, serves as the Performing Arts Course Leader at West Thames College (rated Outstanding by Ofsted) and is currently a Guest Director with Attic Theatre Company.
Claire-Monique Martin

Claire-Monique Martin is an all-round creator of British, French, and Grenadian (Caribbean) heritage. She began her career in acting and, over the last few years, has expanded her practice to include writing, producing, directing, music composition, and stage management.
She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) in New York City from 2016–2018 on a full scholarship. Her theatre credits include Off-West End productions of All’s Well That Ends Well, No For An Answer, Antigone, The Great Gatsby Musical, Dora Versus Picasso, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, and The Merchant of Venice; Off-Broadway productions Long Lost John, Love Me Tender, This Is Me, and Enemy of the People; and European theatre tours of Pygmalion, Animal Farm, and The Canterbury Tales. She has recently wrapped on the feature film Contrary Motion in the role of Nina.
As a writer, her credits include Waiting for Liz and Dora Versus Picasso. She was assistant director and stage manager to Mark Ravenhill on his epic Run At It Laughing—an anthology of ten Commedia dell’Arte-inspired plays at Wilton’s Music Hall—while also performing in four of the pieces.
Claire-Monique is currently directing The Turnip Cruncher as part of the Reboot Festival at Arches Lane Theatre, and in November she will reprise her role as Chorus Singer (Fate) and Violist in Electra Untitled in Barcelona. Looking ahead, she will direct Rhapsody in Blue in 2026, a staged production with live music celebrating George Gershwin and his iconic masterpiece.
Mauro Fazion
Writer
Mauro Fazion is a Brazilian-born poet, playwright, engineer, and experimental filmmaker based in Bristol. With a background in engineering and mathematics, Mauro bridges the gap between art, science, and innovation, founding several tech companies alongside his literary and artistic work.
He is the author of the poetry collections Duplo Doble and Helenos, as well as the play Olhos Cegos. His experimental poems have been featured in Maths Poems, part of The Mathematics of Poetry — a cross-disciplinary project supported by the Brigstow Institute. Mauro is also the founder and co-editor of poetry magazines including BABEL – Poetry, Translation and Criticism Magazine and Poetrishy (www.poetrishy.org), always with a focus on experimental writing.
In addition to his literary work, Mauro is a director of experimental films, including Bruxas, which was awarded by Embrafilme, the Brazilian film production, funding, and distribution company.
His collaboration with Fractured Time Productions to produce his play The Dying Wish marks an exciting turning point in his career, expanding his commitment to pushing artistic boundaries through bold, cross-disciplinary storytelling.

Mary-Margaret is a London-based stage manager and arts educator who grew up outside of Toronto, Canada. She holds a BFA in Technical Theatre specializing in Stage Management from York University and a Masters of Arts Leadership from Queen’s University.
