De volledige casting is aangekondigd voor de nieuwe productie van Noël Coward's komedie Hay Fever in Wyndham's Theatre. Naast de eerder aangekondigde twee keer Tony Award-winnares Christine Baranski als Judith Bliss en Academy Award-genomineerde Richard E. Grant als David Bliss, zullen Nancy Carroll als Myra Arundel, Will Close als Simon Bliss, Charles Edwards als Richard Greatham, Ophelia Lovibond als Sorel Bliss, Ash Hunter als Sandy Tyrell, Lucy Karczewski als Jackie Coryton en Jo McInnes als Clara deel uitmaken van de cast. De cast wordt aangevuld met Helena Antoniou, Charlotte Avery en Shaun Mendum.
Onder regie van Emily Burns zal Hay Fever spelen in Wyndham's Theatre, een Delfont Mackintosh Theatre, voor een strikt beperkte speelperiode van 22 september tot 12 december 2026 met een persavond op 1 oktober 2026. Er zijn ook extra tickets beschikbaar vanaf £30 voor de productie.
Over Hay Fever
Noël Coward's HAY FEVER wordt geregisseerd door Emily Burns met scenografie en kledingontwerp door Frankie Bradshaw, lichtontwerp door Oliver Fenwick en geluidontwerp door Tingying Dong. De choreograaf voor gevechten en intimiteit is Bethan Clark, de dialectcoördinator is Danièle Lydon, de associate director is Blythe Stewart en de casting wordt verzorgd door Jim Carnahan CSA en Liz Fraser CSA.
Het is VERSCHRIKKELIJK om verzorgd te worden. Judith stopte vorig jaar met haar leven op het podium. Ze mist de ovaties al. Terwijl ze doelloos bij hun buitenhuis verblijven, zijn de rest van de familie – de teruggetrokken romanschrijver echtgenoot David en de niet-vooruit te branden kinderen Sorrel en Simon – te met zichzelf bezig om een goed publiek te zijn. Dus nodigt Judith een jonge fan uit als haar gast voor het weekend. Maar zonder dat zij het weet, krijgen alle Blisses tegelijkertijd een gast over de vloer. Volledig ongeschikt als gastheren en allergisch voor compromissen, ontvouwt het huis zich al snel tot een chaos van salonspelen, beledigingen en ongevraagde toegiften.
