È stato annunciato il primo casting per il prossimo tour del Regno Unito e dell'Irlanda di The Silence of the Lambs, in vista del debutto della pièce che segnerà la prima mondiale del fenomeno culturale globale. La nuova produzione elettrizzante apre al Curve Theatre di Leicester sabato 01 agosto 2026.
L'attore, cantante, presentatore, scrittore e regista britannico John Partridge, noto per il suo ruolo di lunga data come Christian Clarke in EastEnders della BBC 1 e per la sua vasta gamma di crediti nel West End, da CATS a Everybody's Talking About Jamie, indosserà la maschera iconica del raffinato e sadico Dr. Hannibal Lecter.
Quando la stagista dell'FBI Clarice Starling viene inviata a intervistare lo psichiatra e noto assassino Hannibal Lecter, si spera che la sua mente brillante possa aiutare a catturare il sadico nuovo serial killer, Buffalo Bill. Un'altra ragazza è scomparsa e il tempo sta per scadere. La rinomata sceneggiatrice e drammaturga televisiva Gina Gionfriddo (Law & Order (NBC), House of Cards (Netflix), Becky Shaw) porta il romanzo avvincente di Thomas Harris sul palco in un nuovo adattamento moderno diretto dal Direttore Artistico del Curve, Nikolai Foster. L'adattamento teatrale di Gionfriddo esplora la tensione psicologica del romanzo fondamentale di Thomas Harris, immergendo il pubblico nel complesso e inquietante gioco di gatto e topo tra Clarice e Lecter, mentre l'FBI cerca di catturare Buffalo Bill, un serial killer ancora in libertà.
John Partridge dice del suo casting nel prossimo tour: 'Quante volte un attore può interpretare un ruolo che, semplicemente dicendo il nome del personaggio, ti toglie il fiato. È una grande onore e intendo assaporarne ogni singolo attimo!'

All'età di soli 16 anni, John Partridge ha lasciato il college per unirsi al tour originale del Regno Unito di CATS di Andrew Lloyd Webber, trasferendosi successivamente alla produzione del West End al New London Theatre per interpretare Rum Tum Tugger. Ha ripreso il ruolo nella versione filmata ufficiale accanto a Elaine Paige e John Mills.
