Oh! I Miss the War is a powerful solo performance by David John Phillips that delves into the intertwining narratives of two generations of queer men, set against the backdrop of 1967 London and present-day Toronto. Co-written with Matthew Baldwin, the piece features monologues that reflect on desire, memory, and the evolving landscape of queer identity over five decades. Directed by Anthony Misiano, the production explores themes of intimacy, loss, and intergenerational connection, presenting a nuanced tapestry of queer experiences with emotional depth and wit. This Toronto debut is set to take place at Native Earth’s Aki Studio during the 2025 Toronto Fringe Festival.
