Written and directed by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, this grown-up take on the classic Cinderella fairytale imagines a darkly comic world beyond the story, asking where these characters come from and where they end up long after the heroine puts away her glass slippers. The piece is being developed as part of a unique workshopping process in collaboration with Shaw Festival artists, with audiences invited to watch the bold new work come together over a series of in-progress performances.
