BWW's 'Some Like it Pop' Podcast on JESSICA JONES, THE NIGHT BEFORE, List-a-Palooza
by Matt Tamanini - December 5, 2015

My co-host, the esteemed Jennifer McHugh, has a bit of an OCD streak. She likes lists; nay, she loves lists. She has lists of her favorite lists, and that's not hyperbole. So, since most TV shows take a break around the holidays, on this week's episode we break down our favorite holiday programs, favorite TV shows, and favorite movies. We also discuss the great first season of Netflix's JESSICA JONES, and a potential addition to the Classic Christmas Comedy Cannon, THE NIGHT BEFORE.

In the latest episode of BroadwayWorld's 'Some Like it Pop' Podcast, Jennifer McHugh and I check back in on some of our favorite shows of the fall, discuss two of our favorite 'fluff' TV shows, and begrudgingly give each other credit where it is due. We also get the bottom of Jenn's LES MIS inspired screenname.

On the second episode of BroadwayWorld's 'Some Like it Pop' podcast, Jennifer McHugh and I discuss some of our favorite shows of the new fall TV season shows have debuted (THE LEFTOVERS, FARGO, JANE THE VIRGIN, THE WALKING DEAD), we argue about what constitutes quality comedies on TV (THE GRINDER, ANOTHER PERIOD, DIFFICULT PEOPLE, CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND), we disagree about Trevor Noah's first few weeks at THE DAILY SHOW, and we have a 'pun-off' while discussing the HAMILTON Original Broadway CAST RECORDING!

Premiere Episode of TV's 'Some Like it Pop' Podcast Now Available
by Matt Tamanini - October 1, 2015

Podcasts are hard, yo! After a week of tinkering, we were able to improve the sound quality of the podcast enough so that it no longer sounds like I am broadcasting from 'the bathroom of a tin-roofed crack house,' but it still isn't at the level that we would like. Nonetheless, we are sallying forth with the official premiere episode of the Some Like it Pop Podcast. In this episode, Jennifer McHugh and I take a quick look back at the 2015 Emmy ceremony, I pay up on our Predictions Article bet, and we talk about the new and returning shows that we are most looking forward to from this fall TV season.

BroadwayWorld Previews its Original Podcast 'Some Like it Pop' w/ Emmy Episode
by Matt Tamanini - September 16, 2015

So, this fall, I decided that as part of my 366 Article in 366 Days Challenge, that I would just do suck it up and start a podcast. It's been over a decade since I interned at a sports radio station in Columbus, Ohio, and I am only moderately tech-savvy for someone straddling the line between being a part of Generation X and the Millennials. However, despite these obvious obstacles, I decided just dive in and figure it out as I go along, which has kind of been standard operating procedure for most of my life.
