LG Arts Center and Compagnie Derniere Minute co-produce a new dance piece, Theatre of operations. It is a collaborative project between French choreographer Pierre Rigal and Korean dancers. In 2003, Rigal founded Compagnie Derniere Minute while working as a video and documentary director. In 2008, as International Associate Artist of the Gate Theatre London, Pierre created PRESS which was raved over in Europe. The success of PRESS led to the invitation performance of MICRO in Avignon International Festival 2010. His creation engaging only Korean dancers is a subjective study of various types of confrontations between human beings, and between human beings and natural environment. Rigal will create a powerful and audacious piece with compelling science fictional images and bold movements, and you will be truly enthralled by sparkling Korean dancers.
