“May I have the definition?” This Tony-winning musical is a hilarious tale of overachiever angst, chronicling the epic experience of six adolescent underdogs vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. It’s an unlikely hit about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of competitive outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can both stand out and fit in at the same time.
