Waterfront Theatre School presents the South African premiere of the Tony Award-nominated musical comedy Something Rotten!, written by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell with music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick. The show follows Nick Bottom's relentless pursuit of success as he struggles under the shadow of Shakespeare, set in the Renaissance but contemporary in its message about identity and self-discovery. Direction is by Paul Griffiths, choreography by Ursula Lubbe, and musical direction by Thinus Viljoen, performed by Waterfront Theatre School students. The production was nominated for ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
