Within a milieu of multinational double-dealings, ethnic conflict, brutal militia, 'blood minerals' and glittering Chinese imports, a Congolese warlord and his ambitious wife murder their leader and unleash atrocities on the crumbling African province that they seize.

Cape Town City Ballet's annual Open Day today, 29 March will once again offer an exciting glimpse behind the tutus, tiaras and pointe shoes of a professional ballet company's day to day activities. For the young ones there is an introduction to stage make-up and everyone can join in the fun with the popular Introduction to Ballet class, open to ages 9 to 90! Highlights of the day will include an open rehearsal of the CTCB's upcoming production of Swan Lake, a lecture demonstration and performance by Zama Dance School and a special fundraising performance of a variety of spectacular short ballets and pas de deux.
