Conceptual art for RAIDERS: THE GREAT WAR

RAIDERS is back in 2014 with the latest production in this legendary series of rib-tickling theatre productions with RAIDERS: THE GREAT WAR, which will be performed in Cape Town at the Rosebank Theatre from 12 August. This powerhouse of entertainment - now in its 25th year - had six sold-out performances at this year's National Arts Festival.

Europe is at war and the Bolsheviks have signed the forms to execute the Romanov family. In a last-ditch effort to save the royal bloodline Harold (Nicholas Ellenbogen), the master spy, plans to smuggle everything he needs to restart the Romanov dynasty once the war is over. He knows he cannot do it alone, so he enlists the aid of a Cossack Royalist by the name of Yakov (Daniel Richards). Together they flee Russia while being hunted by Comrade Dobrov (Sne Dladla) and the might of the rising Red Army.

In the legendary RAIDERS style, this show makes use of intelligent (and sometimes just plain silly) humour with ingenious props and using you, the audience, to embark on an unforgettable adventure!

RAIDERS: THE GREAT WAR runs at the Rosebank Theatre (16 Alma Road in Rosebank, Cape Town??) from 12 August - 6 September, on Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8pm. There is also a Saturday matinee for pensioners at 3pm. Tickets can be booked at Webtickets (www.webtickets.co.za) or by calling 074 101 5066.
