The Shaw Festival announced their line-up for 2008. It will include the musicals WONDERFUL TOWN (in the Festival Theatre) and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (in the Court House Theatre.) They will also do 4 special concrt performances of the Sondheim/Goldman FOLLIES.
The Shaw plays will be GETTING MARRIED and MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION.
The season will also include THE LITTLE FOXES, AN INSPECTOR CALLS, THE PRESIDENT, THE STEPMOTHER, AFTER THE DANCE, and a revival of their 2005 production of BELLE MORAL.

In November, Kristin Huffman made her Broadway debut as Sarah (flute, piccolo and sax) in John Doyle's production of Company. The actress, with a new series of tales that go inside the making of Company from an actor's perspective, starting at the Cincinnati Playhouse and on to New York, continues her stories about a 15-year career that has led her to the door of the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

The Public Theater in association with St. Ann's Warehouse, opens its 2007-2008 season with The Wooster Group's Hamlet, a wildly inventive take on Shakespeare's best-known tragedy. Directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, Hamlet marks the debut of the legendary Wooster Group at The Public Theater, building upon The Public's historic role as a home for independent and experimental artists. The Wooster Group's Hamlet will begin previews on Tuesday, October 9 and run through Sunday, November 18 with an official opening on Wednesday, October 31.

The world premiere of Tim Acito's musical adaptation of Gloria Naylor's novel, The Women of Brewster Place, opens at Arena Stage after its successful co-production run at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre. The Women of Brewster Place runs October 19 - December 9 in the Kreeger Theater; Opening performance is Friday, October 26 at 8PM.

Paper Mill Playhouse opens 'Happy Days: A New Musical,' on Sunday September 30 at 7:30PM. Based on the hit Paramount Pictures television series, Happy Days is created by Garry Marshall who also wrote the book, with music and lyrics by Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning Hall of Fame songwriter Paul Williams. LightBox and The Food Theater Project present the world premiere of Milk 'n' Honey - a new play about food and why we eat what we eat - with previews to begin October 21, prior to its official press opening October 28 at 3LD Art and Technology Center (80 Greenwich Street at Rector Street) in Lower Manhattan. Ellen Beckerman directs the play, which was collaboratively written by Madeleine George, Bray Poor, C. Andrew Bauer, Shawn Fagan, and Ms. Beckerman, based on their interviews with a wide range of people about food and their relationship to it.
