Project Ghostlight, a potential new documentary/reality series, shoots its pilot episode next week at The Boston University Theatre (The Huntington Theatre Company in residence). The show is a journey into the world of America's oldest, and sometimes forgotten, theatrical past. The aim: to bring to light the amazing stories locked inside America's majestic theaters and explore some of the phenomenal tales and experiences of the past and present.

New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) continues its 20th Anniversary season by presenting Bastianello and Lucrezia, two newly commissioned comic operas by composers John Musto and William Bolcom with libretti by Mark Campbell. The concerts will take place on Tuesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 13 at 8PM, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, West 57th Street and 7th Avenue.

The Flea Theater presents the World Premiere of Lower Ninth, a new play inspired by the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Written by Beau Willimon, this new drama will be directed by Daniel Goldstein, and will feature Gaius Charles, James McDaniel and Gbenga Akkinagbe. Performances begin February 14 with opening night scheduled for Thursday, February 28.

DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd. have announced that Shrek The Musical will play an exclusive world premiere engagement at The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, August 14 - September 21, prior to opening on Broadway in the Fall of 2008. Preview performances will begin in early November at a theater to be announced.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey today announced seven of the eight productions of its 2008 Season, on the heels of closing its record-breaking 45th Anniversary Season which saw the addition of a 7th play on the Main Stage. 'The 2007 season was extraordinary,' said Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte who begins her 18th Season in 2008. 'In addition to each of our productions receiving tremendous critical acclaim, we saw an increase in attendance including our famed Outdoor Stage which broke all records with a more than 40 percent increase.
