"Broadway Backwards 3", the gender-bending concert of show tune favorites benefiting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, on Monday February 4 at 8PM, is nearly sold-out.  The only remaining tickets available for the event are the $250 Orchestra Seats.

Even more performers have been confirmed to participate, including Anthony Rapp, Kerry Butler, Ann Harada, Julie Halston, Michelle Blakely, Jessica Lee Goldyn and Aaron Lazar!

The last wave of added performers include: Kerry Butler (Xanadu); Anthony Rapp (Rent); Ann Harada (Avenue Q); Julie Halston (Gypsy); Michelle Blakely (Annie Get Your Gun); and Aaron Lazar (Les Miserables).

"Broadway Backwards 3" (BB3) will showcase a diverse cast of male singers performing songs traditionally performed by female singers, and vice versa. For two years, the theatre community has demonstrated its support for the Center with this one-night-only, star-studded Broadway benefit concert. The evening features classic show tunes with a twist -in past years Betty Buckley delivered a tender rendition of "Some Enchanted Evening" from South Pacific, while Richard Kind sang "Ulla's Song" from The Producers. And who can forget Matt Cavenaugh and Cheyenne Jackson's performance of "We Kiss in a Shadow," named Best Dynamic Duet of 2006 by Playbill.

For the third installment of Broadway Backwards, the Center heads to Times Square and the Great White Way, as the event is presented at the Roundabout Theatre Company's American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street). Creator Robert Bartley returns as director, Mark Janas once again serves as musical director, and Seth Rudetsky hosts. The Center also welcomes John Kander and Terrence McNally as event co-chairs.

"Broadway Backwards 3" is Monday, February 4, 2008 at 8PM – 10PM, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).

Tickets are $250; $75 and $125 tickets are sold out. A very limited number of $25 Student Rush tickets will be available one hour before the event starts with a valid and current ID; two (2) tickets per person. There are also a very limited number of $1,500 and $5,000 tickets still available, which give you preferred seating in the Orchestra and an invitation to the exclusive after party, in addition to membership in our Leadership and President's Circle.
