Cinna Productions is pleased to announce the World Premiere of Mark Twain's Blues, a new play with songs by Walt Stepp about a lecture by the famed author that's interrupted by the arrival of two of his most famous characters who accuse Twain of betrayal. Directed by Tom Herman with Music Direction by David Wolfson and Choreography by James Beaudry, the production runs from February 15 through March 8 with an opening scheduled for February 21 at Altered Stages.

Alexandra Conley, who has served as Executive Director of Soho Rep since 1999, is leaving that post, it has been announced by Jon Dembrow, Chairman of the Board at Soho Rep. Ms. Conley leaves Soho Rep to join her husband in Milan, Italy, where he has accepted a new position in the fashion industry.

Hamlet 2 premiered Monday at the Sundance Film Festival and Variety is reporting that yesterday the film was picked up for distribution by Focus Features. The film stars Steve Coogan as an English teacher who writes a sequel to Shakespeare 's play in order to save the theater department.

Maieutic Theatre Works (MTWorks) is pleased to announce the world premiere production of Providence, directed by Ian Crawford. Providence will play a 3-week limited engagement at Off-Off-Broadway's The View Theatre at the Roy Arias Theatre Center (300 West 43rd St, 3rd Floor). Performances begin Thursday, February 7 and continue through Sunday, February 24. Opening Night is Saturday, February 9 (8 p.m.).

Fifty-two Miss America Contestants, in town for the 2008 Miss America Live! pageant, which takes place Saturday January 26 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, enjoyed a night of percussion, rhythm, excitement and comedy at Stomp Out Loud on Sunday, January 20. Following the show they posed for photos and visited with the cast.
