Westport Country Playhouse kicks off its 2012 Family Festivities Series with a new twist on classic fairytales, "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales," on Sunday, January 29, 1 and 4 p.m. Tickets are $18. Birthday party rental facilities may be scheduled in advance. Pre-show children's activities begin one hour before each performance.

From early February until the end of April 2012, Little Angel Theatre will host a series of visiting companies providing wonderful and varied shows for children and families.

In conjunction with its Family Festivities Series, Westport Country Playhouse is hosting a book collection for Read to Grow, Inc. Beginning with the 2012 season's first Family Festivities show, "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales," a new twist on classic fairy tales, on Sunday, January 29, 1 and 4 p.m., the Playhouse will collect gently used and new children's books which will be given to families and programs in the greater Fairfield County area through the Read to Grow organization. Bins will be located in the Playhouse lobby for book donations.

Victoria Theatre Association Announces the 2012 PNC Family Series presentation of THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES February 4th & 5th at 1p.m. and 3:30p.m. in the historic Victoria Theatre. Burning Coal Theatre Company continues its second stage series, Wait Til You See This!, with the Southeastern Premiere of Mary's Wedding by Stephen Massicotte. Directed by Josh Benjamin (Limbo), the play will run January 12 - 22, 2012 at the Murphey School, located at 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. All tickets are $10 apiece and may be obtained by calling 919-538-1742 or online at www.burningcoal.org.
