Visiting Companies Announce Their Spring Season at Little Angel Theatre

From early February until the end of April 2012, Little Angel Theatre will host a series of visiting companies providing wonderful and varied shows for children and families. 

8 – 19 Feb
RED RIDING HOOD by Norwich Puppet Theatre (created by the team who brought “Alice in Wonderland” to Little Angel)
Following a highly successful Christmas run at Norwich, expect a rich mix of puppetry, music, song, inventive staging and witty dialogue. Following its stay at Little Angel, RED RIDING HOOD tours the UK.
Suitable for ages 4+.

2 & 3 March
MOZART WITH PUPPETS by the Aurora Orchestra in collaboration with Little Angel Theatre
Discover the extraordinary music of Mozart: marionettes, glove and rod puppets are brought to life by his works performed by the award winning Aurora Orchestra (Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards 2011 – Ensemble Category; recently awarded NPO status by Arts Council England). A perfect introduction to both puppetry and classical music.
Suitable for ages 2+

21 April
THE CHRONICLES OF BITTER AND TWISTED: THE RETURN OF THE UGLY DUCKLING by Galopin
Everyone knows the story of the Ugly Duckling who was small and ugly and scorned by all but grew into a beautiful swan. Lesser known is the story of a baby swan who was small and ugly, scorned by all and grew into..a duck! Bitter and Twisted is currently showing at the Arcola following a hugely successful Edinburgh run. “charming and cheeky fairytale sequel” The List, Edinburgh, 2011
Suitable for ages 5+

These and many other delights await you at Little Angel. All tickets are £8/£6 concessions except for Friday Fives, where the whole family can come for £5 each. There will be Friday Fives for RED RIDING HOOD, THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF and THE GINGERBREAD MAN.

15-19 Feb: 11 am/2 pm daily.

22-25 Feb
THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF by Garlic Theatre
Suitable for age 3+
10 am/1 pm Weds/Thurs; 1 pm/5 pm Friday; 11 am/2 pm Sat.
Baby Friendly performances on Thurs at 10 and Sat at 11.

26 Feb
FIDDLESTICKS by Garlic Theatre
Suitable for age 4+
Sunday at 11 & 2/Baby Friendly performance at 11.

2 & 3 March
