Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has just announced casting for the world premiere of The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin by Steven Levenson, directed by Scott Ellis. The cast will include Christopher Denham as "James Durnin," Sarah Goldberg as "Katie Nicholson," and David Morse as "Tom Durnin." Additional casting will be announced soon.

Due to popular demand, Playwrights Horizons has announced an extension of its critically-acclaimed, sold out World Premiere production of The Flick, a new play by the heralded Obie Award-winning playwright Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation at PH, The Aliens, her recent adaptation of Uncle Vanya). Originally set to play a limited engagement through Sunday, March 31, the production has extended to Sunday, April 7 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Russell Brand will take BrandX back to his hometown roots in London, England on Thursday, March 7 and Thursday, March 14 for his full-hour live show on FX. Both shows will take place at the Duchess Theatre in Soho and broadcast at its new time of 11:00 PM ET/PT. Emmy(R) nominated stand-up comic Eddie Izzard and musician Noel Gallagher will guest star on March 7; (Guest stars for March 14 are TBD).

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, under the artistic direction of Tisa Chang, will celebrate its 36th Anniversary Season in tribute to Japan with the world premiere production of Alvin Eng's THREE TREES, a new play that explores Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti's relationship with his muse, Japanese Existentialist Isaku Yanaihara, March 23 - April 14, 2013 at the West End Theatre, 263 West 86th Street, 2nd floor. The production's official opening will be on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 7:30PM. Ernest Abuba directs.

Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of Picnic, in association with Darren Bagert and Martin Massman, closes today, Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). Since opening on Jan. 13, PICNIC has played 47 regular performances. It opened for previews on Dec. 14, 2012.

Vulture reports that Disney has found the director to take on its impending CINDERELLA remake. Just a few weeks after original director Mark Romanek dropped out, the studio has reportedly tapped Kenneth Branagh to replace him. Inside sources confirmed to the site that the Brit director is entering late negotiations in order to keep the film on schedule.

Lindsay Posner directs Rebecca Lenkiewicz' new stage adaptation of Henry James' The Turn of the Screw at the Almeida Theatre which runs until 16 March 2013, with press night on 24 January. The cast comprises Caroline Bartleet (a woman), Laurence Belcher (Miles), Eoin Geoghegan (a man), Gemma Jones (Mrs. Grose), Anna Madeley (The Governess), Orlando Wells (Sackville) and Isabella Blake, Emilia Jones and Lucy Morton who will alternate the role of Flora.
