Speaking on behalf of the producers of the new musical BARE, Paul Boskind, who is organizing the series, is proud to announce that the show will host post-performance TalkOUTs throughout the run of the show. Beginning with the first preview, audiences at select performances will be invited to stay after the show to participate in a discussion with some of the foremost leaders in the fight for LGBT equality. These special guests will include Judy Shepard (Matthew Shepard Foundation), The Clementi Family (Tyler Clementi Foundation), Chuck Wolfe (The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund), Hudson Taylor (Athlete Ally), Mitchell Gold (Faith in America), Travis Wall (choreographer of BARE, "So You Think You Can Dance") and cast members of BARE.

On October 19, 2012, millions of Americans will wear purple on Spirit Day in a stand against bullying and in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. GLAAD is once again leading outreach to engage the participation of individuals, celebrities, corporations, media outlets, schools, local communities and even national landmarks. By going purple on Spirit Day, participants can easily demonstrate their support for the LGBT community simply by wearing purple. BARE begins previews Off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) on Monday, November 19, 2012. Opening Night is set for Sunday, December 9, 2012. On National Coming Out Day, Thursday, October 11th at 10:30am, this unparalleled coalition will host an event at The Snapple Theater Center (210 West 50th Street, 3rd floor). Hosted by the producers of BARE, speakers will include former NHL star Sean Avery on behalf of Athlete Ally; activist Fiona Dawson on behalf of HRC; Executive Director Brent Childers & LGBT and women's rights advocate Roberta Sklar on behalf of Faith in America and James Clementi & Executive Director Steven Guy on behalf of the Tyler Clementi Foundation, as well as BARE director Stafford Arima and choreographer Travis Wall. They will share their personal experiences, speak about their individual organizations and their collaboration with BARE, and together share the message of equality for all. This special event will also include a performance from BARE.

The company will feature Taylor Trensch (Peter), Jason Hite (Jason) and Elizabeth Judd (Ivy), with Gerard Canonico (Matt), Jerold E. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the musical BARE is officially getting a new lease on life, beginning with two industry readings next week, October 31 and November 1. The Damon Intrabartolo and Jon Hartmere piece will be directed by Stafford Arima and Lynne Shankel will musical direct.

BroadwayWorld has learned that the musical BARE may be getting a staged reading in New York in October. Randy Taradash and Martian Entertainment will produce the reading of the Damon Intrabartolo and Jon Hartmere piece. Stafford Arima will direct and Lynne Shankel will musical direct. The reading would begin either October 23 or October 24 and run through October 31.
