Marin Shakespeare Company, Marin County's professional and award-winning outdoor summer Shakespeare festival, announces its 2017 season. Presented under the summer stars at Forest Meadows in San Rafael from June 23 to Sept. 24, Marin Shakespeare Company's 28th season features 'Much Ado About Nothing,' 'The Three Musketeers' and 'Love's Labour's Lost.' The summer season will feature a non-repertory schedule, with designated performance runs for each production with shows at 8 p.m. Todays and Saturdays; 4 p.m. Sundays; and 8 p.m. on select Sundays.
Centenary Stage Company welcomes The Doo Wah Riders to the Lackland Performing Arts Center on Saturday, July 22 as the second installment of the 2017 Summer Jamfest series. Based out of Southern California, the band has been delighting audiences all across the United States with their unique sound, a blend of country music with Cajun influences. Their set list includes classic country tunes audiences know and love, as well as some original music infused with their own youthful energy. The Doo Wah Riders' are known for their tight musicianship, powerful arrangements, and being "A real crowd pleaser!" as Rey O'Day exclaims. Since 1993, they have released seven albums and one live-concert DVD.

AstonRep's season concludes next summer with THE LARAMIE PROJECT, a community's deeply-moving response to the 1998 murder of gay University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard, written by Moises Kaufman and the Members of Tectonic Theater Project and directed by Associate Artistic Director Derek Bertelsen. The 2017-18 season will also include the 9th ANNUAL WRITERS' SERIES, a daylong festival of workshops from talented local and regional writers.

Centenary Stage Company 2017 Summer Jamfest is jam packed with an array of exciting musical guests. Set to rock the Lackland Performing Arts Center all summer long, Centenary Stage Company's 2017 Summer Jamfest will feature; Drive: A Tribute to the Cars on Saturday, July 15 at 8pm; The Doo Wah Riders on Saturday, July 22 at 8pm; The British Invasion Years on Saturday, July 29 at 8pm; the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra on Saturday, August 5 at 8pm and Dr. K's Motown Revue on Saturday, August 12 at 8pm. All performances will be held in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Performing Arts Center.
San Francisco Ballet announces ten promotions, eight new Company members, and six apprentices for the 2017-18 Season. Soloist Jennifer Stahl has been promoted to principal dancer, and Isabella DeVivo, Jahna Frantziskonis, Esteban Hernandez, and Steven Morse have been promoted to soloist. In addition, SF Ballet Apprentices Alexandre Cagnat, Shene Lazarus, Davide Occhipinti, Nathaniel Remez, and Isabella Walsh have been promoted to the corps de ballet. Ulrik Birkkjaer and Ana Sophia Scheller join the Company as principal dancers and Solomon Golding, Gabriela Gonzalez, Blake Johnston, Madison Keesler, Wona Park, and Joseph Warton have joined SF Ballet as corps de ballet members. Ethan Chudnow, Anatalia Hordov, Carmela Mayo, Swane Messaoudi, Larisa Nugent, and Benjamin Pearson of San Francisco Ballet School have been promoted to the rank of apprentice.
