On June 7 and 8 at 6 PM, the legendary Fresh Tracks Performance and Residency Program at New York Live Arts will showcase the work of the current five selected emerging choreographers: Emma Rose Brown, J. Bouey, Liana Conyers, Collin Ranf, and Dolores (Lola) Sanchez.

Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis, will mount two world premiere productions during the 42nd Season. DIG, written and directed by Theresa Rebeck (July 11-27, 2019), and MRS. CHRISTIE by Heidi Armbruster (August 1-17, 2019) fall between the Festival's previously announced runs of Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES (June 20-July 6, 2019) and SLOW FOOD by Wendy MacLeod (August 22-31, 2019) at the Dorset Playhouse (104 Cheney Road, Dorset, VT 05251).

FOX has renewed the hit family comedy LAST MAN STANDING, starring Tim Allen, for the 2019-2020 season, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment for FOX Entertainment. The series' return marks its second season on FOX, and eighth in total.

Utah Opera presents a night of thrilling music and dramatic narrative with Vincenzo Bellini's "Norma," in a semi-staged production at Abravanel Hall on May 4 at 7:30 PM and May 6 at 7 PM. This new production of "Norma,", created by Utah Opera's Costume Shop and Scenic Studios, will feature costumes designed by Season 12 "Project Runway" finalist Bradon McDonald, and projected images and video designed by Greg Emetaz. Crystal Manich will direct the production, and Stephen Lord will conduct the Utah Symphony. Due to renovations of the historic Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre, Utah Opera's performances of "Norma" will take place in Abravanel Hall." Skydance Television today announced that it has partnered with The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization and Concord to develop an original television series inspired by the hit Broadway musical Oklahoma! The present-day series written by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, The Highwaymen) and Bekah Brunstetter (This is Us, American Gods) will be set in America's heartland and include music by the legendary team of Rodgers & Hammerstein, reimagined for a contemporary audience, in addition to new music to support the story.

Chicago Opera Theater (COT) caps its 2018/2019 season with the Chicago premiere of "Moby-Dick," an epic adaptation of Herman Melville's 1851 classic "Moby-Dick; or, The Whale" at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance (205 E. Randolph Street) Thursday, April 25 and Sunday, April 28.

Original works by University of SC dance students will be in the spotlight as the UofSC Department of Theatre and Dance presents the semi-annual Student Choreography Showcase April 26-27 at Drayton Hall Theatre. 

Today, Southern Halo delivers a summer escape with 'Sunshine,' a groove-oriented, electrified wave of sound that lifts the listener out of the winter doldrums with high-energy musicianship and dynamic sibling harmonies. Written by Love and Theft's Stephen B. Liles  and Eric Gunderson, along with Southern Halo's lead singer/songwriter Natalia Morris, the track was produced by Catt Gravitt.

UC Santa Barbara, Department of Theater and Dance offers a student-centered Spring Dance Concert Fracture, comprised of a diverse range of new choreographic voices by senior BFA dance majors (Colin Sneddon, Madeline Takemori, Sergio Barrientos, Johnny Cox, Jasmine Agredano and Luis Gomez) and a piece by acclaimed New York choreographer Doug Elkins. Community members will recall Doug Elkins residency at the Lobero Theater in fall 2018 with DanceWorks. Elements of Elkins' intellectual and physical approach to choreography have found their way into the choreographic processes of our six BFA choreographers. All the students have unique voices tackling material that stems from pure movement invention, to cult/group dynamic behavior and loss of memory through the ravages of Alzheimer's disease. Director of Dance and Vice-Chair Christina McCarthy directs the concert.

The San Diego State University MFA Musical Theatre Program has launched an innovative two-year development program dedicated to fostering the creation of new musicals. The SDSU MFA New Musical Initiative was conceived with the idea of helping musical theatre writers develop a new work through a two-year process including a reading (fall 2018), a workshop (spring 2019) and a full production (spring 2020). After a competitive submission process, which saw over 120 new scripts and scores, the selection committee chose 'Til Death Do Us Part by Bobby Cronin and Caroline Prugh.

What's the story? In this colorful musical, a group of ordinary kids, with all different abilities, take on a mission to save their community, their friendship, and then the planet! Along the way, they learn everyone can be a hero everyday!

Today, dynamic progressive-rock and electro-synth quintet Papadosio proudly release an extensive album comprised of live recordings captured during various performances throughout their fall 2018 Content Coma tour. The 23-track album, Live Selections l Fall 2018, features a mix of live renditions of songs appearing on the band's latest full-length studio album Content Coma (Sept 2018) as well as some older tunes that have been rearranged and reworked to appeal to a live audience. Known for their organic synergy, and explosive set lists that never repeat, the album showcases Papadosio's versatility across multiple genres of progressive rock, electronica, psychedelia, and more. The Rubin Museum proudly announces the third exhibition in its Year of Power programming: Clapping with Stones: Art and Acts of Resistance, organized by guest curator Sara Raza and on view on the Rubin's sixth floor from August 16, 2019, through January 6, 2020.

Cathy Weis Projects announces the lineup for the spring 2019 season of Sundays on Broadway, an ongoing series of performances, film screenings, readings, and discussions on Sunday evenings at WeisAcres. The spring season is curated by Cathy Weis and guest curators Emily Climer, Jon Kinzel, Melanie Maar, and Vicky Shick. All events begin at 6pm. $10 suggested donation at the door. California Repertory Company (CSULB Theatre Arts Department) presents the new play A Live Mixtape written by Long Beach native and CSULB alumna Tahirih Moeller. Tahirih was a student of the award-winning playwright Patricia Loughrey who wrote Dear Harvey, produced by Cal Rep in Fall 2018. It is a particular honor to have both teacher and student produced in the same season!

On Today, March 9, 2019 at 8:00pm, Israeli-American cellist Amit Peled joins the Longwood Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Haydn's Cello Concerto No. 1 in C Major, Hob. VIIb/1 in Jordan Hall, led by Music Director Ronald Feldman.
