With Spamalot returning to Broadway, we're taking a walk down memory lane and reflecting on some of the stars who have appeared in previous productions of the musical. From Broadway to London, Chicago, touring productions, Las Vegas, the Hollywood Bowl, and more, there have been many faces you may recognize who have taken on these roles.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present return of Nashville vocalist Wendy Moten – best known for her 2021 run on NBC’s “The Voice” – on Monday, August 21 at 7:00 PM.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present singer and violinist Edmund Bagnell in “Home for the Holidays” on Monday, December 12 at 8:30 PM. The countdown to the holidays is on, and through music and humor Bagnell shares his heartfelt and humorous recipe for a perfectly imperfect holiday season.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present acclaimed vocalist Carole J. Bufford in the New York debut of her concert “Vintage Pop!” for a special six-show run from Friday, December 9 through Sunday, December 11, with performances each night at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

Birdland Jazz Club will present Billy Gilman – the platinum-selling country music artist known for his run on NBC’s “The Voice” — in “A Billy Gilman Christmas” on Monday, December 5 at 7:00 PM.

Birdland Jazz Club will present the New York concert debut of actress and vocalist Maddie Baillio – best known for her appearances in the Amazon film Cinderella and NBC’s “Hairspray Live!” – on Monday, November 21 at 7:00 PM.

Birdland Theater will present Nashville vocalist Wendy Moten – best known for her 2021 run on NBC’s “The Voice” – in an exclusive six-show concert engagement from Friday, November 18 to Sunday, November 20 with performances at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM each night.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present vocalist Christian Holder in his new show “Dreams and Inspiration” – featuring a special appearance by Donna McKechnie – on Monday, November 7 at 8:30 PM.

The critics are weighing in on Leopoldstadt, Tom Stoppard's Olivier Award-winning Best New Play, directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Patrick Marber. The new play opens on Broadway tonight, Sunday, October 2 at the Longacre Theatre.

Leopoldstadt marks the 19th production of a Tom Stoppard play to open on Broadway since Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead opened 55 years ago. Her show will include songwriter Richard Whiting hits including “He’s Funny That Way,” “My Ideal,” “Miss Brown,” and “Too Marvelous For Words.”

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Amanda McBroom in her new show “Crimes of the Heart” on Monday, May 2 at 7:00 PM. McBroom’s concert will feature songs of passion, politics, and just plain love, written by the likes of Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Leonard Cohen, and of course, Amanda McBroom.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present acclaimed vocalist Karen Akers in the new show “Water Under the Bridge” on Monday, April 25 at 7:00 PM.

Today's subject Matt Torney is currently the Associate Artistic Director of Studio Theatre. Their excellent current production of Doubt: A Parable is helmed by Torney and plays through October 6th in Studio's Metheny space.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of beloved Production Stage Manager, Arthur a?oeArtiea?? Gaffin, who passed away on September 13, 2019. To commemorate his life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the American Airlines, Marquis, New Amsterdam, St. James, and Broadhurst Theatres in New York for one minute on Wednesday, September 18 at exactly 7:45pm.

Superstar recording artists Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, N.E.R.D., Charlie Puth, Sia and season 12 winner Chris Blue are set to perform on the live two-hour Today, Dec. 19 season finale (9-11 p.m. ET/PT) of NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series THE VOICE.
