Did You Know That These Broadway Shows Originally Had Different Names?
by Jennifer Ashley Tepper - May 17, 2026

Perhaps the most well-known instance of a show changing titles during the development process belongs to the groundbreaking 1943 phenomenon, Oklahoma! The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical that changed the art form in terms of subject matter, integration of elements, and more was originally titled Away We Go! when it went out of town for a New Haven tryout. Oklahoma! is far from the only instance where a musical changed its title along the development road.

Review: ENGLISH at Wallis Annenberg Center For The Performing Arts
by Evan Henerson - Apr 13, 2026

ENGLISH isn’t so much a play about the power of words as it is about the inextricable and very complicated bonds between language, culture and identity.

Review: ONCE at Helsingborgs Stadsteater
by Annette Stolt - Mar 24, 2026

This is my first visit to Helsingborg Stadsteater but probably not my last. Well-organized and good with lots of free lockers for your jacket and large items. Great  modern theatre auditorium with a excellent grading between the rows in the stalls.

Interview: Vaneh Assadourian of ENGLISH at ALLEY THEATRE
by Brett Cullum - Feb 22, 2026

I play the character of Goli. She's the youngest character in the play; she's 18. For Goli specifically, her relationship to English is really sweet. She's described as this young, sweet spirit in the classroom. She's just carefree and has fun.

by Catherine Burford - Feb 9, 2026

Even if you’ve never seen a single production, chances are you’ve at least heard of Swan Lake. Maybe you’re like me and had your first exposure to the story thanks to the 1994 animated movie The Swan Princess.

From Stage to Stage: The Greatest Theater Dynasties in Broadway History
by Jennifer Ashley Tepper - Mar 1, 2026

This history gives context to the legacies of theatrical dynasties—considered to consist of at least three subsequent generations of theatre creators. In 2026, there is a stigma around any successful professional who follows a parent into their line of work, with this being seen as a pattern of nepotism.

Review: & JULIET at Dr. Phillips Center For The Performing Arts
by Albert Gutierrez - Jan 7, 2026

If “& Juliet” works at all, it’s because it commits to the premise without apology: a Shakespearean remix told through the lens of pop music, meta-theatre, and a general belief that stories never really die, they just get re-written. This touring production of the still-running Broadway musical leaned into this ethos with a cast that understood the assignment – treating the material with enough sincerity to make it land, but enough wryness to make it feel like commentary.

Interview: Darrell T. Joe of DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at Broadway At The Hobby Center
by Brett Cullum - Jan 6, 2026

'I went to school, did a couple of cruise ships, and then I moved to New York with two bags and a tube of Chapstick, and I've lived there for 15 years now. Which makes me official, I think.'

Review: NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH SETH MACFARLANE AND THE BOSTON POPS at Symphony Hall
by R. Scott Reedy - Jan 6, 2026

Seth MacFarlane was in great voice when he took the stage at Symphony Hall recently for his sold-out New Year’s Eve concert with the Boston Pops, even if it wasn’t his most familiar voice.

Review: AND THEN THERE WERE NONE at Resident Ensemble Players
by Greer Firestone - Nov 8, 2025

There’s something deliciously unnerving about sitting in a theater knowing that no one on stage will make it out alive. Resident Ensemble Members production of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None—the best-selling mystery novel of all time, is that rare, perfect storm of tight plotting, psychological suspense, and gallows humor.

Interview: Julia Krohn of THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE at Theatre Under The Stars
by Brett Cullum - Oct 27, 2025

It is a show that is so close to my heart! When I was living in New York, from 2004 to 2008 was when it came to Broadway, and I saw it there. I was brought in quite a bit for Olive at the time. I'm too old for that [role] now!
