For me, the message of this play is that family is the most important thing. Having, keeping, and surviving those family ties and those memories.

Thornton Wilder’s 1938 play, Our Town, marks the first production for Michael Sheen’s Welsh National Theatre. After selling out across Welsh venues, this understated gem of a play moves west to give audiences of the Rose Theatre a chance to see what this exciting new company can do.

Perfect medicine for the winter blues

The Group Rep will stage Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play OUR TOWN under the direction of Mareli Mitchel-Shields. The production will highlight themes of community, family, and daily life in early 20th-century America.

American Theater Group will host a post-show discussion titled From Classroom to Stage following the Thursday, November 6 performance of Our Town at the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge.

American Theater Group will open its 2025–2026 season with Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, running October 23–November 9 in Union and Basking Ridge, NJ. Directed by Merete Muenter, the production stars Timothy Ware-Hill and Carrie Keating and features several New Jersey drama teachers in supporting roles.

Our Town will play its final performance at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre following 26 previews and 117 regular performances. The venue will soon be home to Othello, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal.
