According to The Stage, actor Stephen Moore has died at age 81.

Writer/Performer Kirk McGee, star of the award-winning indie comedy Chasing Taste, will bring his painfully funny one-man show, THE HONORABLE HERBERT PEABODY, to United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, on Sunday, November 17th at 6:00 pm at Theatre Row. Running time is approximately 50 minutes.

Due to popular demand, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will extend the riotous comedy The 39 Steps, adding three additional performancesa?"2pm and 8pm Saturday, September 21, and 2pm Sunday, September 22.

With a mysteriously murdered agent, a wicked plot to destroy England, and a race against the clock to stop it, this brilliantly funny show is a tribute to the master's greatest films. Directed by Leslie Martinson, The 39 Steps features four fearless actors playing 139 roles, stretching the boundaries of theatrical invention.

According to TV Guide, actor Max Wright died at age 75.

California Shakespeare Theater continues its 2019 summer season with The Good Person of Szechwan by Bertolt Brecht, translated by Wendy Arons and adapted by Tony Kushner, playing July 3 through July 21, 2019 at the Bruns Amphitheater. The Stratford Festival lost one of its pioneers today. Douglas Rain died of natural causes early this morning at the age of 90 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, just outside of Stratford, Ontario, the city in which he established his career, becoming one of the world's great classical actors.
