 The University of Washington's Meany Center for the Performing Arts today announces its 2022–23 Season, presenting 20 visionary artists and ensembles who are pushing artistic boundaries, blending genres and bringing more diverse creative representation to the stage. With the world opening back up to travel, this season also marks the resumption of international touring artists to each series of the season. 

THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, is celebrating the next generation of jazz with a special concert series this month. During the month of May, The Django welcomes rising stars as part of its new Next Gen Series.

Goodspeed Musicals announced today that it will produce the world premiere of Christmas in Connecticut – A New Musical this holiday season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn.

PREMIERES NYC has announced the expansion of its bi-annual commissioning series INNER VOICES with the New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant). 

The official music video for “Dance With Me” is a fun and beautiful visual representation of the many cultures found within New Orleans featuring Kermit Ruffins, Big Sam, Baby Dolls, Zulu Tramps, Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale, Pussy Footers, True Orleans Brass Band, Beyjorettes and DJ Polo 504.

The Carr Center, the legacy Black arts presenter located in the heart of Detroit's downtown cultural district, is set to celebrate April as Jazz Appreciation Month with a unique live concert event. The Carr Center Presents 'Great Jazz Women of Detroit: Alice Coltrane, Dorothy Ashby and Betty Carter' at the Detroit School of Arts (DSA) at the Ford Theatre.

Jason Mraz has announced a series of shows in celebration of Lalalalovesongs, his collection of iconic ballads released earlier this year. The trek includes Mraz’s most extensive run of Canadian dates in more than a decade. Raining Jane, the all-female eclectic rock/folk band and Mraz’s longtime collaborators, will join him on the trek.
