The Cleveland Orchestra has announced its full lineup of classical music concerts for its 2023 Blossom Music Festival. The festival, located at Blossom Music Center in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, runs from July 1 to September 9, and features 24 concerts.

Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, Australia’s newest cultural precinct, has opened to the public following the completion of major redevelopment works on the historically significant Pier 2/3 located on the Sydney Harbour foreshore. Many of us dreamed as a child of entering the magical lands of our favorite books, movies or other media. In the latest immersive presentation by the Memoir Agency and Creative City Project - DRAGONS & FAIRIES - visitors to Harry P. Leu gardens on select evenings will be magically transported into a theatrical adventure with young fairy Freya and her dragon friend, Dauntless, as they journey through a fantasy world filled with bizarre creatures and beautiful settings.

This January, New York City Opera (under the direction of Michael Capasso, General Director) will produce its latest world premiere of a new American opera, Ricky Ian Gordon's THE GARDEN OF THE FINZI-CONTINIS, a co-production with the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (Zalmen Mlotek, Artistic Director, Dominick Balletta, Executive Director).

​Director Caitlin Lopez, the Associate Artistic Director of Ophelia's Jump Productions (OJP) who also serves as Improv Director for the company elaborates, 'Twelfth Night tells the story of Viola who has washed up on the shores of the vibrant and uninhibited Illyria after a shipwreck. In this modern queer fairytale, she and a cast of colorful characters all must discover what it means to truly love and embrace their heart's desires.' I decided to speak with Caitlin about both her directing and appearing in the production, as well as her background with the history of OJP.  ​

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced plans for its 50th Anniversary season, slated to begin in September 2021 with a grand reopening of its stages and campus and culminate in September 2022 with a fresh interpretation of the seminal work that opened the Center in 1971, Leonard Bernstein’s MASS.

This Christmas Studio 3 Arts has announced their family theatre adaptation of The Princess and the Pea performed from Thursday 10th December to Sunday 20th December at various times throughout the day. Edinburgh's City Art Centre marks its official public re-opening on the 12th September 2020 with a new exhibition exploring the work of Scottish artists during the 1920s a?" an evocative period of social, political and economic change.

This May, Edinburgh's City Art Centre presents the first major exhibition in nearly a century dedicated to the Scottish painter and printmaker Charles Hodge Mackie (1862-1920), one of the most versatile artists of his generation.

The Scottish painter and printmaker Charles Hodge Mackie (1862-1920) was one of the most versatile artists of his generation. Drawing inspiration from French Symbolism, the Celtic Revival movement and the landscapes of his European travels, he produced oil paintings, watercolours, murals, woodblock prints, book illustrations and sculpture. This major retrospective, timed to coincide with the centenary of Mackie's death, showcases the breadth of his talents, with over 50 artworks from public and private collections. Charles H. Mackie: Colour and Light is presented as part of Edinburgh Art Festival 2020.

Once referred to as the 'Rock Poster God' artist Jim Evans will be exhibiting rare and early prints from his personal collection at the Mayfair Hotel (1256 W 7th St) in Los Angeles, CA located inside their Regime Contemporary Art Gallery starting with the grand opening March 29th - 6 to 11 pm and running through March 30th - noon through to 6 pm. Regime Contemporary Gallery is curated by LA Graffiti legend Kelly 'RISK' Gravel and will be home to some iconic rock posters from Jim Evans, including show posters for Nine Inch Nails, Ramones, Smashing Pumpkins and Pixies.

As we welcome in 2019 in Southwest Florida, we also welcome in a very full theatre season! From many classic, much-loved Broadway shows to some newer, unique breakout productions, this season has something for everyone. Though there are many, many productions happening this season, check out 9 of the shows (listed by date so you can easily fill your calendar) I know I'm looking forward to in 2019 below.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of professional theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, celebrates the acclaimed run of its 82nd Rolling World Premiere (RWP): Memoirs of a Forgotten Man by D.W. Gregory. The Roll kicked off at Core Member Contemporary American Theater Festival (Shepherdstown, WV) and runs through July 29. It continues in 2019 at Associate Member Shadowland Stages (Ellenville, NY) June 22 through July 6 and Core Member New Jersey Repertory Company (Long Branch) August 29 through September 29.

The 2018 Adelaide Festival program will launch on Tuesday 24 October 2017 at the Adelaide Town Hall. It is a festival program rich with Australian and international voices, bold new visions and contemporary theatre classics, as Joint Artistic Directors Neil Armfield AO and Rachel Healy return to the helm for their second Adelaide Festival in 2018.
