Vivid Stage, formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present its annual Meet the Artist new play reading series on Wednesdays, May 4, 11, 18 and 25. All readings will take place at the Oakes Center at 7:30 pm.

Today, the Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciarán O’Reilly, Producing Director) announced two productions for their Spring 2022 season. For its introductory year, Rave Theater Festival has selected a diverse roster of plays, musicals, family-friendly shows, and cross-disciplinary projects.

The story of The Wizard of Oz has been told numerous times in many different ways. Originally a book written in 1900 by L. Frank Baum with the first Broadway musical adaption coming in 1902. Of course the most popular version is the 1939 musical film adaption starring Judy Garland as Dorothy. For the 60th anniversary of the film release the Gooseberry Park Players decided to bring the story to their stage. Most people know the story, but this version may offer some new scenes not seen by many before, including the 'Jitterbug' song/scene that was actually cut from the original movie due to time constraints.

Director Barbara Nichols has created magic in the White Theatre's production of PETER PAN THE MUSICAL. This summer treat for the whole family, which opened on July 6 at the theater located at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park, should not be missed. The show runs through July 28 at the theater.

The Adelaide Fringe is getting classy this year, with Hartstone-Kitney Productions brining seven incredible shows to the Noel Lothian Hall. They are once again transforming the Noel Lothian Hall into a bespoke black box theatre, and are introducing a Rose Garden Bar, turning the already unique garden location into an elegant oasis amongst the East End chaos.

Music Theatre of Denton announces supplemental auditions for several roles in RAGTIME, the Broadway musical based on E.L. Doctorow's distinguished 1975 novel. With a book by Terrence McNally and music by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, RAGTIME is considered one of the best musicals on the past several decades. For Music Theatre of Denton, Kyle Christopher West directs with John Norine Jr. serving as musical director and Elizabeth Cantrell as stage manager. RAGTIME runs February 22nd - March 3rd.

Spellbound by the boys' enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play-and his classic tale springs to life. 

The Waterville Opera House (WOH) is delighted to announce its 2018-2019 theatrical season, which once again brings two amazing musicals and three entertaining plays to its historic, 116 year-old theatre in downtown Waterville.
