According to STL Today, a fire at St. Andrew's Cinema in St. Charles earlier this month caused the Flustered Mustard theater group to relocate their live shadowcasts of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I love The Rocky Horror Show and Clint Randolph and his stellar ensemble of performers have won me over! Their 2019 production of The Rocky Horror Show is incredibly good, outlandishly fun and faithful to the material. Clearly, it ain't your grandma's musical theater (well, actually, it is a?' seeing as how the show bowed in the West End in 1973 and played Broadway in 1975, concurrent with the release of the film version), but it hews pretty damn close to traditional tropes with its boy and girl meets transsexual mastermind who's created a hot and hunky boytoy to satisfy his longings and, well, all hell breaks loose as their stories are told.

It's that time of year when everyone starts doing the a?oeTime Warpa?? again. For most people, their introduction to the a?oeRocky Horror Showa?? is the cult classic 1975 movie. For the 4th year, Kata Klysmic Productions is doing a new production of a?oeThe Rocky Horror Show.a?? The audience in attendance were all having a great time not just seeing the show, but doing the typical audience participation that comes with it. What makes this production of Rocky Horror back for its fourth production with Kata Klysmic?

College can be extremely stressful sometimes, especially after midterms, which I just experienced last week. However, there are many ways to destress and unwind due to the pressure and trials of school and watching musical films are a perfect way to do just that and what better time of the year to do that than around Halloween time? There are so many amazing Halloween and horror films and surprisingly there are also a lot of horror musicals that are simply fantastic.

If I was to have to find one flaw in the ROCKY HORROR SHOW, now playing at the Louis Curtiss Studio Building in Kansas City (formerly Prohibition Hall), it is that I only get to review it once this run. Seeing so many shows each year it is seldom that one comes along that makes me want to see it again. The ROCKY HORROR SHOW by Padgett Productions is definitely one of those shows I could see over and over. Audience participation isn't required but is highly encouraged.

Tupelo Community Theatre will present an interactive, audience participation showing of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 31st at 8 p.m. at TCT Off Broadway at 213 East Franklin Street.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience is one of Garden Theatre's most popular events, selling out the 295-seat theatre each year.
