Beetlejuice, the new Broadway musical comedy, will record a cast album to be released later this year. The show officially opened at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway) on Thursday, April 25. The album - produced by Matt Stine, Alex Timbers, Eddie Perfect, and Kurt Deutsch - will be recorded May 5, 6 and 13.

Andrew Dykstal, a writer from Arlington, VA, has been named the Grand Prize Winner of the 35th Annual Writers of the Future, and Aliya Chen, an illustrator from Fair Oaks, CA has been named the Grand Prize Winner of the 30th Annual Illustrators of the Future L. Ron Hubbard Achievement Awards for Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests in the genres of Science Fiction & Fantasy held at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Hollywood, CA on Friday evening, April 5, 2019. A capacity crowd of 400 people attended the Black-Tie GALA. Presented by Author Services, Inc. and Galaxy Press, the theme for the two-hour awards show was Retro Robotics.

On March 22nd, Strand of Oaks (Timothy Showalter) will return with his 6th album, Eraserland to be released via label Dead Oceans. Today, he releases the latest single, “Ruby.” “Ruby is the happiest song I've ever written,' says Showalter. “Ruby isn't a person, rather the concept of time and memory and how with every passing year it becomes non linear. In the past I would've dismissed such unabashedly pure optimism, but I've been through a lot and I've learned to appreciate those rare moments of light.” The companion video features unearthed Showalter family footage. “This past year my little brother Jon spent countless hours trying to convert my family's collection of home movies. Somehow my dad in 1988 got a camera with 'Buick Points' and then proceeded to have a side career as world-class cinematographer.”
