WaterTower Theatre Announces 2019-2020 Season

Shane Peterman, Producing Artistic Director, today announced details of the Company's 2019-2020 Season.  This season marks the 24th for WaterTower Theatre, and the first full season programmed by Producing Artistic Director Shane Peterman.  The 5-show subscription season includes Jason Robert Brown's Tony Award-winning musical adaptation, The Bridges of Madison County, Doug Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, I Am My Own Wife, a holiday celebration co-produced with Lone State Circus, Cirque Holidays, and a host of exciting additional programming.

Sarasota Opera Announces 2019 Season For Opera and Classic Movies Series

Sarasota Opera is pleased to announce the lineup for the 2019 season of "HD at the Opera House" and "Classic Movies at the Opera House."  The "HD at the Opera House" series will open on Sunday, May 19th and run through October 6th.

The Human Race Theatre Company Announces 33rd Season

"This may be the first time in our 33 years," stated Human Race Artistic Director and Founding Member Kevin Moore, "that we selected a season theme before we selected our shows." And for good reason. The 2019-20 Human Race Theatre season at the Loft Theatre coincides with the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, the first step in all women having the right to vote and the catalyst for our movements for Equality.

The Civilians Presents Claire Kiechel's PAUL SWAN IS DEAD AND GONE

The Civilians, under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Steve Cosson and Managing Director Margaret Moll, is proud to present the world premiere of Paul Swan is Dead and Gone by Claire Kiechel, a former member of The Civilians' R&D Group where the play was first developed. Directed by Cosson and starring Tony Torn as the real-life Paul Swan, the production marks Kiechel's New York debut and runs April 25 - May 19, with an opening night set for May 1. For an audience of only 30, the intimate and immersive performance takes place at Torn Page (435 West 22nd Street, Manhattan), a salon-style performance space located inside a historic Chelsea townhouse originally purchased by Torn's parents, Geraldine Page and Rip Torn.

Charles Calello Comes to Adelphi University

Musical magic for many of your favorite songs began with Charles Calello, arranger and producer. Calello continues to hold the Billboard magazine record for musical arranger with more Top 10 hits than anyone in the history of pop music. Calello will appear this Saturday at the Port Washington Public Library in advance of his performance Sunday at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Jamestown Revival's highly anticipated new album, San Isabel, will be released June 14 onThirty Tigers and is now available for pre-order. In advance of the release, the band's new song, “This Too Shall Pass,” premiered yesterday at Rolling Stone (listen/share HERE). Of the track, Rolling Stone praises, “…bright harmonies and loping guitar patterns…an optimistic track that splits the difference between modern-day Americana and old-school folk.” Additionally, an acoustic performance video of the song, featuring band members Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance, can now be viewed/shared HERE.
