Following their critically acclaimed productions of Carmen, La Traviata and La boheme, the King's Head Theatre joins forces with acclaimed Welsh opera company Opera D'draig for a quirky, romantic and enchanting new take on Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, presented in English as The Elixir of Love. The production will run from 25 September to 26 October 2019, with a press night on Monday 30 September.

The British Museum today announces its major exhibition for Autumn 2019. The BP exhibition Troy: myth and reality will be the first major Troy exhibition in the UK. It will reveal the lasting legacy of stories from the Trojan War, first told by early poets such Homer and Virgil and retold and reinterpreted right up to the present day. The show highlights works of art inspired by the tales of war, love and loss that are wrapped up in the Trojan cycle of myths and passed down through generations.

Old Forester's Paristown Hall, Louisville's newest state-of-the-art standing room venue, has announced a roster of performances for its opening in late July. These acts include iconic New York rock band Interpol, Memphis country-punk rockers Lucero and singer-songwriter sensation Gavin DeGraw.  The Opening Night event on July 23 will be headlined by Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, along with a slate of performers including the dance troupe Pilobolus, Mucca Pazza and local favorite Ben Sollee.
