The classic comedy Some Like It Hot will begin performances on Broadway this fall! The Alley Theatre announces the line-up for the 2022 Alley All New Festival, June 16 - June 26, 2022. The Festival will feature five new plays including readings, workshop performances, and an early draft preview. Festival playwrights include Monet Hurst-Mendoza, Austin-based Kirk Lynn completing a Thornton Wilder work, Kemp Powers, Don X. Nguyen, and Alley commissioned artist and Houstonian ShaWanna Renee Rivon.

Austin Playhouse announces that after 60+ years of producing theatre in Austin and beyond, Founder and Co-Producing Artistic Director Don Toner will step down from his role as Co-Producing Artistic Director. Current Co-Producing Artistic Director Lara Toner Haddock will continue alongside recent additions to the leadership team, Associate Artistic Directors Ben Wolfe and Sarah Fleming Walker.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents Rita Rudner on Thursday, April 7 at 7:30pm.  One of the country's top comedians, Rita Rudner brings her sharp wit, droll observations and genius one-liners to Samueli Theater.
