DTC's annual tradition of A Christmas Carol returns live on stage this year. The show opens November 24 at the Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre. After transitioning to a digital version of A Christmas Carol during the 2020-21 season, this season welcomes DTC audiences back to its large-scale indoor production, right in time for the holiday season.

Parry will be collaborating with Christie Vela, Associate Artistic Director at Theatre Three and a founding member of DTC's Diane and Brierley Resident Acting Company in 2008, who is directing the production. Vela will also appear on stage at DTC in the role of Sugar in Tiny Beautiful Things, the theater's opening production, starting on September 8.

Olivier Award nominee Patrick Ryecart (The Crown, Poldark, The King's Speech) will lead the cast of The Barn Theatre's reimagined actor-musician production of Charles Dickens' festive masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Casting has been confirmed for Park Theatre's festive family adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic: The Snow Queen. Focusing on the origins of the Queen who brings endless winter, the cast includes: Frances Marshall, Ayesha Casely-Hayford, Esmonde Cole, Sarah-Louise Young, Justin Brett, Paula James and Matt Cavendish. The production is adapted by Charles Way and directed by Abigail Anderson, with a national press night on Friday 6 December, 7pm.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of veteran General Manager, Producer and 2017 Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre recipient Alan Wasser, who passed away on April 14, 2019 at age 70. To commemorate his life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the Majestic, Marquis and St. James Theatres in New York for one minute on Monday, May 20 at exactly 6:45pm.

I have been a huge fan of both Wil Love and Carl Schurr for many years. They are currently both performing in Everyman Theatre's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST which ends its run Dec. 30, 2018. They have become two patriarchs of the Baltimore theatre scene. Since their meeting at Center Stage in 1971, they have performed, produced, and adapted hundreds of performances both regionally and nationally. Now in their 10th year as Resident Company Members at Everyman Theatre, Wil and Carl have plenty of war stories and advice to share. I connected with these two venerable performances to learn more about their story.
