Schimmel Center at Pace University presents the first annual Crossing Bridges Music Fest, with performances on Friday, May 10 at 7:30pm and Saturday, May 11 7:30pm. In its inaugural year, this weekend-long festival celebrates the best of traditional and modern Americana with a lineup of performers ranging from contemporary singer-songwriters to legacy artists and those who defy categorization. The festival seeks to bridge generations and music, to bring together an eclectic group of performers for an amazing weekend of music. 

Broadway stars Liz McCartney and Bob Stillman will headline Judson Theatre Company's  Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins by Stephen Temperley. Souvenir is the first production of  Judson Theatre Company's eighth season, opening Thursday, May 9, 2019 and running through Sunday, May 12 at the Hannah Center Theatre.

Japan Society proudly presents Cross Transit, a collaborative multimedia dance work by acclaimed Japanese choreographer/dancer Akiko Kitamura, with video, photos and narration by Cambodian visual artist Kim Hak. 

The dynamic, Texas-based River Oaks Chamber Orchestra (ROCO) announced today that American-Taiwanese conductor Mei-Ann Chen has been appointed the organization's first ever Artistic Partner beginning in 2019-2020, the orchestra's 15th season. She will conduct the season opener on September 27 and 28, 2019.

New York City's Parsons Dance, one of today's most prominent American dance companies, will return to White Bird after a long absence to perform a six-part program, featuring signature works alongside an exciting tribute to New Orleans jazz. Led by Artistic Director David Parsons, the 8-member company's unstoppable energy and spellbinding technique will provide for a spectacular night of contemporary dance. Founded in 1985 by former celebrated Paul Taylor dancer David Parsons and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley, Parsons Dance is internationally renowned for its athletic and energized ensemble work. The show runs April 4-6 at the Newmark Theatre, 7:30pm.

The Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach will present the Escher Quartet at The Norton Museum of Art in Palm Beach.

The ASPECT Foundation for Music & Arts continues its third New York City season of illuminating performances with Archduke Rudolf: Beethoven's Pupil and Patron on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 7:30pm at Bohemian National Hall. Russian-American pianist and conductor Ignat Solzhenitsyn is joined by violinist Korbinian Altenberger and cellist Na-Young Baek for a program of works Beethoven dedicated to his most significant patron and composition student, Archduke Rudolf of Austria: the Violin Sonata No.10 in G major, Op.96 and Piano Trio in B-flat major, Op. 97 “Archduke.”

The Playthings Theatre, an LGBTQ+ Company in New York City, will be performing its gala concert PlayFresh on Monday, March 11th at 7:00pm. On Wednesday, March 20 at 8:00 p.m., Mr. Gerstein gives the New York premiere of a new piano concerto composed for him by Mr. Ad s on commission from the Boston Symphony Orchestra, which performs the work under the baton of the composer, who is the BSO's Artistic Partner. The concerto is the second work on the program, which opens with Liszt's Mephisto Waltz No. 1 (orchestral version) and closes with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4.

Accompany Utah Symphony Music Director Thierry Fischer in two consecutive Masterworks weekends as the Utah Symphony completes the cycle of J.S. Bach's renowned Brandenburg Concertos at 7:30 PM in Abravanel Hall. In combination with the beloved, Baroque classics, the performances also include works of influential French composers Boulez and Berlioz, which the orchestra is recording live for later release on Hyperion Records. Maestro Fischer worked alongside Boulez and included his work 'Initiale' as an homage to the late composer. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, returns to Carnegie Hall for four concerts in March in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The first two programs, conducted by Ádam Fischer, include Bartok's Two Pictures and Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3 and Symphony No. 3, "Eroica" on Saturday, March 2 at 8:00 p.m. Maestro Fisher returns the following afternoon, Sunday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. with Haydn's Symphony No. 97 and Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5, 'Turkish' featuring Leonidas Kavakos along with Mozart's Symphony No. 41, "Jupiter."
