Their short film FALLING SOUTH plays Wednesday evening August 8that 6:00 pm with award winning documentary film INGRID and another short film starring Marlyn Mason, AN AFFAIR REMAINS. RIFF represents the New England premiere for FALLING SOUTH and the world premiere for AN AFFAIR REMAINS.

For the past several summers, I have attended the Festival of Arts and The Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach. But this year, I also decided to also visit two other art festivals along Laguna Canyon Road rather than spend any time cruising the town as I had done before. The full-day of exploring all the artistic delights on display this year at all three locations left me dazzled by all the talent on display, while wishing I had lot of extra income to purchase and bring home many of the awe-inspiring items that caught my fancy. But the real highlight of the day was viewing the abundance of 'local color' on display in this summer's 'Under the Sun' themed Pageant of the Masters.

Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning writer and actress Renee Taylor - known to millions for her role as Fran Fine's food-obsessed mother, Sylvia, on "The Nanny" - has returned to the New York stage in the critically acclaimed New York premiere of MY LIFE ON A DIET, an autobiographical comedy written by Ms. Taylor and her late husband Joseph Bologna, and originally directed by Mr. Bologna. Presented by Julian Schlossberg, MY LIFE ON A DIET is now playing Off-Broadway at Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46 Street, between Ninth & Tenth Aves).

Moreso than many other shows, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is a musical that is rife for reinvention, and the current production at Theatre By the Sea, directed and choreographed by Richard Sabellico, has also been given its own unique spin.

Chesterwood will present a staged reading of "The Lincoln Family Album", written and moderated by noted Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer, on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. in Daniel Chester French's Studio. The Long Beach International Film Festival (LBIFF) is pleased to announce its diverse lineup of feature-length documentaries, feature-length narrative films, and short films screening from August 1 to August 4. Drawing nearly 400 filmmaker submissions from over 20 different countries, 52 have been selected for screening.

THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, a musical by Max Vernon, whose musical KPOP won Best Musical honors in off-Broadway's Lortel Awards and was also nominated for seven Drama Desk awards, is inspired by real life events of the 1973 arson attack at the UpStairs Lounge, a vibrant gay bar in New Orleans. Now accepted as a targeted anti-gay attack, the arson resulted in the deaths of 32 people and was, until the 2016 Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting, the deadliest assault on a gay club in U.S. history. The show is inspired by and pays tributes to many of the patrons that frequented the venue.

As the brand-new Interim Executive Producer of Theatre Arlington I am thrilled to announce our brand-new 2018-2019 season. We had to make some changes in our season due to national tours and licensing restrictions. One show change affects the balance of the season as a whole and gave me the opportunity to make new artistic choices.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub at The Public join forces once again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the tutelage of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, and Shanta Thake, Director of Joe's Pub, the program serves as an incubator for artists and their collaborators to create and develop music and theater projects. The program will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio (300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA) from June 18-30 with Public Readings, free and open to the public, on June 29 and 30. Readings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the artists.

Stanislav Ioudenitch, Artistic Director of Park International Center for Music (Park ICM), announced today that their 2018-2019 season would kick off in September with a new performance home, the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kansas. "For the first time, we will perform our entire season at the 1900 Building as we adore performing in their wonderful spaces," said Ioudenitch.
