Building on a tradition. That has been the credo of the North Fork Community Theatre (NFCT) for quite some time now. The uplifting story starts in 1956 with an advert calling for people interested in starting an amateur theatre. After years of performing in schools on the north fork of Long Island, they moved into their current building in 1961.

Building on the previous success of the “Summer Fun & Games” brand, The ABC Television Network is expanding its slate of game shows to three nights, adding four new exciting series to the upcoming schedule. In addition to bringing back the iconic “Press Your Luck” and “Card Sharks” to TV, ABC will launch two new alternative shows – “Holey Moley,” an epic mini-golf competition featuring NBA superstar Stephen Curry as resident golf pro; and “Family Food Fight,” hosted by renowned restaurateur and New York Times best-selling cookbook author Ayesha Curry. All of these shows are part of the summer premiere dates schedule announced today by the network.

Fountain Hills Theater publicly announced their 2019-20 Season on Feb. 16th at Broadway in the Hills. There are a total of 15 knockout titles, including 10 musicals and 5 plays for its Mainstage, Mainstage Too! and Youth Theaters. SHN announced five Broadway musicals coming to the SHN Golden Gate Theatre that make up the 2019-2020 SHN Season.

In 2017, the Broadway musical version of Anastasia (which opened at Hartford Stage nice months earlier), based on the 1997 film, featuring music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and a book by Terrence McNally debuted to much fanfare, and now Nashville audiences are in the thrall of the cast and crew of the national touring company, onstage at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall through Sunday, March 24.

The 2019 Sonoma International Film Festival (SIFF) is celebrating 22 years of film, food, wine, and spirits Wednesday, March 27 to Sunday, March 31, 2019. Richard Nash's acclaimed 1954 play THE RAINMAKER (the basis for the 1956 film starring Burt Lancaster and Katharine Hepburn),110 IN THE SHADE features music by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tom Jones (THE FANTASTICKS), and a book by Nash adapted from his own play.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra today announced its 2019/20 season at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, confirming its reputation for bold, creative and distinctive programming that continues to inspire audiences on a journey of exploration and adventure. Starting February 7, 2019, Milagro presents the North American Premiere of Alberto Cañas Escalante's La Segua, with original music by Carlos Escalante Macaya directed by Roy Antonio Arauz. La Segua runs from February 7 to March 2, 2019 in the Milagro Theatre.

Artistic Director Ray Jivoff today unveiled Skylight Music Theatre's 2019-2020 season, which will mark the theatre's 60th Anniversary.

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces a major revival of David Hare's The Bay at Nice. Richard Eyre directs Martin Hutson, Ophelia Lovibond, David Rintoul and Penelope Wilton. The production opens on 19 March, with previews from 14 March, and runs until 4 May. Tickets go on sale to supporters of the Menier on 21 January, with public booking opening at 9am on 28 January.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today special events and programming for the month of February as part of the The Sean O'Casey Season, celebrating 30 years of Irish Repertory Theatre.

Patti LuPone will return to the film world in the historical epic, 'Cliffs of Freedom' with Christopher Plummer. The film depicts the start of the Greek War of Independence in 1821 and is directed by Van Ling, who co-wrote the screenplay with Marianne Metropoulos and Kevin Bernhardt. 

ANASTASIA opened at the Fox Cities Performing Center on January 8 and will continue to play through January 13. The show builds on the animated movie it is based on, adding new songs, more dynamic characters, and unbeatable staging, choreography, lighting, and costuming. While ANASTASIA is not a Disney production and lacks the buzz that Disney productions enjoy, it proves that the mouse does not have a monopoly on captivating family fare.

After a sold out run last fall, the recent revival of The Diary of Anne Frank, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett and newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman ('97 Broadway version) will return for a limited engagement previewing January 11, 2019.

The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to kick off our year-long 90 Years of Dance at Wayne celebration with the annual December Dance Concert, December 7 and 8 at Detroit's Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts.  This year's show promises diverse and moving works showcasing highlights of dance through the decades. Dance students have the pleasure of working with a variety of talented artists, including invited guests, esteemed faculty, and talented student choreographers.

Rockabilly music legend, Lee Rocker and his band, will be performing for one night only at Husson University's Gracie Theatre on Saturday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m. This Grammy-nominated member of the legendary music group Stray Cats will perform some of the band's signature hits like 'Sexy and Seventeen', 'Stray Cat Strut' and 'Rock This Town.' Original songs, and hits by Elvis and Carl Perkins will also be included in the concert performance.
