The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, inspired by the electrifying true story, rocks the Warner Theatre today, September 19 at 8 pm. On December 4, 1956, an auspicious twist of fate brought together Johnny Cash (Peter Oyloe), Jerry Lee Lewis (Taylor Gray), Carl Perkins (Austin Hohnke) and Elvis Presley (Daniel Durston). Sam Phillips (Andy Ingalls), the undisputed "Father of Rock 'n' Roll" gathered these four legends for the first and only time at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest rock 'n' roll jam sessions ever.

The play is an autobiographical account of a seminal time in Didinger's life as he assists his life-long hero, Tommy McDonald, reach the goal of being accepted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

One of the Bay Area's best entertainers celebrates the work of one of our greatest composers. Craig Jessup's Sondheim Tonight! brings together more than a dozen Sondheim gems from some of his earliest shows as a composer/lyricist (Saturday Night, Anyone Can Whistle) to some of his most beloved (Company, Follies, Merrily We Roll Along). And the show marks Jessup's debut at Feinstein's at the Nikko.

Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum presents the first-ever revival of a historical melodrama about the Haitian revolution that graced the stage at New York's Lafayette Theatre in Harlem in 1938 as part of the Federal Theatre Project. Haiti by William DuBois will join Theatricum's summer repertory season beginning July 28. Performances will continue at Theatricum's beautiful outdoor venue in Topanga through Sept. 29.

“The Circus,”a four-hour, two-part documentary, explores the colorful history of this popular, influential and distinctly American form of entertainment, from the first one-ring show at the end of the 18th century to 1956, when the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey big top was pulled down for the last time. Written, directed and produced by Sharon Grimberg and executive produced by Mark Samels, “The Circus” premieres on AMERICAN EXPERIENCE Monday and Tuesday, October 8-9, 2018,9:00-11:00 p.m. ET (check local listings) on PBS.

Sarasota Opera's Da Capo Society, the only young patrons group, ages 21 - 45, dedicated to a single arts organization in Sarasota, will host The Wizard of Oz themed costume contest Thursday, June 7th at 6pm to celebrate the launch of the new season of "Classic Movies at the Opera House." Launched in 2017, the "Classic Movies at the Opera House" series will occur twice monthly starting Thursday, June 7 and will include timeless films designed to be enjoyed on the big screen in the elegance of the Opera House. Each presentation will begin at 7:30pm.
