When portraying a comedian in a play, sometimes getting the laugh is not the point.

Renowned for presenting world-class music, the Marin County Fair announces a stellar lineup of bands every night of the Fair June 30-July 4, all free with the price of general admission.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present acclaimed performer Billy Valentine – the Billboard chart-topping singer and songwriter best known for his work on The Five Heartbeats, “Boston Legal” and “Sons of Anarchy” – on Saturday, June 8 at 7:00 PM.

Bill Castellino directs and choreographs. Cast members include Almeria Campbell, Victoria Casillo, Daniela Delahuerta, Matthew Liu, Jesse Manocherian, Sarah Nandola, Pearl Rhein, Noah Ruebeck, Hansel Tan, and Miles Whittaker. Twenty-five performances will be staged from April 23 – May 22, 2022, at Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre, 338 West 23rd Street, New York, NY 11201.

The Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off-Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals, has announced the nominees for the 11th Annual Off-Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2021-2022 season. 

Cathy Weis Projects will present two Sundays on Broadway events in May. The evenings will feature new and in-progress works by seven stellar dance artists. Yale Repertory Theatre has announced its 2022–23 season of four plays. The season will begin with Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, running October 6–29. James Bundy, who directed Albee’s A Delicate Balance at Yale Rep in 2010, will stage this new production of the explosively comedic and harrowingly profound masterpiece.
