The Old Globe's 2017 2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team of a top-notch revival of Oscar Wilde's endlessly entertaining comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. Maria Aitken will direct the Globe's handsome production of this timeless world classic an unmissable opportunity to see what the London Telegraph calls the most perfect comedy in the English language. Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Announces 2018 Season

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announces its 56th season lineup after the great success of its 2017 season that featured the Northeast debut of the hit Shakespeare in Love, as well as a number of productions that were praised by The Star-Ledger and NJ Arts in their 'Top Ten' listings. The Theatre's 2018 slogan is 'Comic Relief' and the company will present six shows on its Main Stage at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre and one summer production on the Outdoor Stage. The 2018 season will include works by Shakespeare, Moliere, Goldoni, and Noel Coward; additionally, the Theatre will present two plays never seen before on the STNJ stage by British playwright Brandon Thomas and American Pulitzer Prize-winner Sam Shepard. Following the success of Ink and Labour of Love, Quiz completes a hat-trick of productions in the West End for Graham in less than a year. Artistic Director of Chichester Festival Theatre, Daniel Evans, directs Keir Charles, Greg Haiste, Mark Meadows, Henry Pettigrew, Gavin Spokes, Stephanie Street, Jay Villiers, Lizzie Winkler and Sarah Woodward who reprise their roles from the run at Chichester Festival Theatre. ???????Written by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Anne Occhiogrosso, Centenary Stage Company's mainstage theatrical season continues in the Lackland Performing Arts Center with Reza's 1998 Tony Award and 1996 Olivier Award winning comedy Art from February 16 through March 4.  "Wildly funny, naughtily provocative…" says the NY Post, it all begins when Serge buys an expensive painting by a celebrated artist.  A white canvas with white diagonal lines.  Old friends square off over the canvas, using it as an excuse to hilariously batter one another over various slights and failures.  Art is a hilarious exploration of the very notion of what constitutes art while examining the meaning of friendship.  'Anyone looking for a play that is funny, sophisticated, stylish, stimulating and moving should go to 'ART'.'
