Two major reunion shows will take place this week on “Stars In The House,” all to benefit The Actors Fund. On Friday, June 4, they will bring together the cast of the beloved Emmy Award-winning series “Kate & Allie”. On Saturday, June 5, Seth and James will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Seth’s “Dreamgirls” benefit concert.

'Fetch' is happening in The Batter's Box, as Krystina Alabado joins BREAK A BAT for their 80th episode! Alabado tested her baseball and Broadway knowledge in an attempt to join the prestigious 'Winner's Circle' for the podcast's trivia elite, much like her fellow Plastics, Kate Rockwell and Jonalyn Saxer.

The cast will commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the show's Broadway premiere with an evening of backstage stories, reminiscing, and of course, plenty of music! 

March 27 marks World Theatre Day! Although we can't be together to celebrate, we can still reminisce on the fun of theatre in our lives.

This week, Through our Women in Theatre Through the Decades features, we are be highlighting the impact of women in theatre such as Sutton Foster, Kelli O'Hara, Kathleen Marshall, Lynn Nottage and more!

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

Wu Man, “the world's finest player of the pipa” (The New York Times), is joined by one of her Silkroad Ensemble bandmates, shakuhachi virtuoso Kojiro Umezaki, on a new album, Flow (流芳), released by In a Circle Records (ICR). The album is currently available for pre-order on Bandcamp (digital and physical) and will be available Friday, February 19, through Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, and other major outlets.

'Frozen' stars Kristen Bell and Jonathan Groff will reunite to star in 'Molly and the Moon,' an upcoming musical film from Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. The pair created 'How I Met Your Mother.'

Theatr Clwyd today announces its Writers in Residence and Companies in Residence for 2020, as part of the TYFU|GROW Creative Development Programme. Writers' residencies have been awarded to Hannah Daniel, Katie Elin-Salt, Jennifer Lunn, Wyn Mason, Lisa Parry, and Kristian Phillips. Companies' residencies have been awarded to Archipelago, Francesca Goodridge and Dan Lloyd, PRIDD, and Signdance Collective.

West Side Story is officially in previews on Broadway! The new production is directed by Tony Award winner Ivo van Hove; and for the first time ever in the United States, will feature all-new choreography by the internationally acclaimed Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. West Side Story will begin previews on December 10, 2019 and open February 6th, 2020 at the Broadway Theatre.

The 2019 Tony nominees are already winners... literally. For some, this marks their first nomination, but others have already won Tony Awards in seasons past. We took a look at which nominees have won at least a Tony or two (or nine) - amongst them, they've gathered a total of 69 awards!

What makes a Broadway theatre? Technically any venue with 500 seats or more, located along Broadway in New York City's Theatre District is a Broadway theatre, and the art that is produced in these special places is widely considered the highest form of theatrical entertainment in the world. Today, forty-one theatres are technically Broadway houses, each with their own rich history.
