Sister Act has won several awards, including Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Music at the Drama Desk Awards for Glenn Slater and Alan Menken, respectively. The show also won Outstanding Musical at the Drama Desk Awards, Outstanding Costume Design at the Outer Critics Circle Awards for Lez Brotherston, and Outstanding Director of a Musical at the Outer Critics Circle Awards for Jerry Zaks. Additionally, Sister Act won Outstanding Lighting Design, Outstanding New Broadway Musical, and Outstanding New Score at the Outer Critics Circle Awards. Patina Miller received a Performance award at the Theatre World Awards for her role in the show.
