Actors’ Equity Association’s Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA) has announced the nominees for this season’s ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus, including Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Chess, Ragtime, and Schmigadoon!

The nominations are here for the 2026 Tony Awards. This year, a high number of titles have onscreen counterparts, and we have rounded up how to watch these versions at home, from The Lost Boys to Schmigadoon!

On February 13th & 14th, the North Carolina Symphony will be presenting BRAVO BROADWAY. Three guest vocalists are coming down to the Triangle area to perform showstoppers from beloved Broadway musicals such as WICKED, RENT, HAMILTON, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and more. I recently got to speak with each of them.

Les Dennis, Sandra Marvin, and Evelyn Hoskins are set to join the cast of the UK and Ireland tour of WAITRESS, enhancing the beloved musical with their acclaimed talents.

The Broadway production of Ragtime was a glorious accomplishment, a riveting testament to the original American musical and to all that America itself could be. The show ran for 834 performances at the Ford Center, closing in the final year of the 20th century. It was nominated for 13 Tony Awards, taking home four.

Light Opera of New Jersey (LONJ) has announced the appointment of Susan Speidel as the company's first Youth in Arts Director. This landmark position was established through the generous support of LONJ Trustee Shari Loe.

Susan Speidel joins Light Opera of New Jersey as its inaugural Youth in Arts Director, a role supported by trustee Shari Loe to enhance arts accessibility for young audiences. Speidel will focus on developing educational programs and partnerships to engage youth in the arts.

During Zohran Mamdani's mayoral inauguration ceremony, Broadway's Mandy Patinkin led a performance of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', featuring a pubic high school choir from Staten Island. Check out the video here!
