MusicWorks is inviting fun-loving fans of Classic Folk and Blue-Eyed Soul to another memorable concert next week at The Parker, an intimate 1,168-seat theater located at 707 NE 8th Street in Fort Lauderdale (33304).

Bernard Pomerance’s The Elephant Man, premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in London in November of 1977. Pomerance’s play also transferred to the National Theatre in London for an “In Rep” residency. From January to March of 1979 it played off-Broadway, and made a transfer to the Booth Theatre on Broadway later in 1979, but the production closed in 1981 after 916 regular performances. The Elephant Man received revivals in 2002 and 2014.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present Melissa Errico for a special Valentine’s week engagement of “A Noir Romance” with nine shows from Friday, February 10 through Tuesday, February 14. Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, Monday at 8:30 PM, and Tuesday at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

American Indian Artists Inc. (AMERINDA) will present the New York Premiere of SOLEDAD by Carolyn Dunn. Directed by John Scott-Richardson, previews for this new play begin on January 12 at Theater for the New City with opening night slated for January 14.
