This week marks a very important event for DC area arts education. On June thirteenth, The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts (TTL) held its very first class and co-founders Deb Gottesman, Buzz Mauro and Michael Rodgers never looked back. The Broadway production of Mr. Saturday Night has cancelled performances for today, May 28th, 2022, as Billy Crystal has tested positive for Covid-19. In an Instagram post announcement, the show's team writes, 'Today’s performances at 2PM and 8PM are canceled. Billy Crystal tested positive for Covid-19 prior to today’s performance of Mr. Saturday Night, despite strict adherence to health and safety protocols. A second test has confirmed this diagnosis.' 

Shoshana Bean revealed in an Instagram story that she will be out of Mr. Saturday Night for the remainder of the week due to Covid. 

Carolines on Broadway, New York City's premier comedy venue, announces its talented line-up for the month of June, with headliners Ed Bassmaster, June 3 and 4; Jay Pharoah, from the Netflix film Resort to Love, June 9 - 12; Shuler King, from the film Halloween Kickback, Fathers Day Weekend, June 16 - 18; Nick Mullen, from the podcast Cum Town, June 23 - 25; and Affion Crockett, from MTV's Wild 'N Out, on June 30.

Birmingham Stage Company today announces the cast for Horrible Histories - Terrible Tudors which make its West End premiere at the Garrick Theatre this summer as part of the company's 30th anniversary programme. Birmingham Stage Company's Neal Foster directs Benedict Martin and Emma Swan.

Today, Paul Leary (Butthole Surfers) announces a reissue of his debut LP, The History of Dogs (originally shared in 1992), due June 17 via Shimmy-Disc/Joyful Noise. Skylight Music Theatre announced the full cast for the Wisconsin premiere of Dennis DeYoung’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, running May 20 through June 12, 2022. Performances take place in the beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward.

Bryant Park Corporation announces the lineup for its summer performing arts series, Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America. Twenty-six live music, dance, and theater events – all starting at 7pm – will take place at Midtown Manhattan's Bryant Park between late May and September.
