Sheffield Theatres has announced its production of DEATH AND THE KING'S HORSEMAN.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that country music singer/songwriter and actor Kris Kristofferson has died at age 88. Kristofferson also is known for starring in A Star is Born in 1976, alongside Barbra Streisand.

Multiple award winners Siân Phillips, Nathaniel Parker and Lolita Chakrabarti lead an ensemble cast directed by James Dacre performing Terence Rattigan’s most personal one act masterpieces Table Number Seven (from Separate Tables) and The Browning Version, which are paired for the first time to capture one quietly momentous evening seventy years ago. Together, they present Rattigan as one of the great twentieth century chroniclers of the paradoxes of the human heart.

John David “JD” Souther, a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee known for his hit collaborations with the Eagles, James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt, passed away peacefully in his New Mexico home at the age of 78.

The self-conducted string orchestra Sphinx Virtuosi returns to Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on October 16, 2024 at 7:00 PM in a program titled American Form/s.

Boundary-breaking choreographer Twyla Tharp returns to Austin on September 26 with Diamond Jubilee, a special program showcasing two new pieces alongside a revival of one of her renowned classics. This event also celebrates the 60th anniversary of her acclaimed dance company, Twyla Tharp Dance making this a performance you must-see.

EMPIRE: The Musical Original Off-Broadway Cast album will be released this winter. The story is told through the lens of three generations of dreamers and doers spanning New York City in the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, and the Bicentennial Year of 1976. Watcher in the Woods: a new musical opened a showcase production last night, September 12, at Urbanstages (259 West 30th Street) Based on the novel by Florence Engel Randall, the show is written by Douglas Thompson (Book & Lyrics) and Johanna Telander (Score). See photos from the show.
