WMI celebrates its 37th year in NYC with 18 performances featuring artists from over 20 countries, including Botswana, Brazil, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, England, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, Ghana, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Korea, Mali, Morocco, South Africa, Spain, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela, and Wales.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. Billy Aberle and Chris Sabol's Straight Forward is an original musical inspired by an article by Mike Iamele that went viral on social media in 2014, explaining how he began developing romantic and sexual feelings for his male best friend Garrett Lech, despite them both identifying as straight.

In 2002, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (CSC) established itself with a single production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, at a small black box theatre in Ellicott City, MD. Twenty seasons later, the company kicks off a year-long anniversary celebration by revisiting its inaugural presentation in their permanent home in downtown Baltimore, with the original director, Founding Artistic Director Ian Gallanar, at the helm.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre will present the premiere of THE FINAL VEIL, a unique blend of theater, opera and dance. It tells the true story of Franceska Mann, a Polish-Jewish dancer who demonstrated resistance and strength amid the horrors of the Holocaust.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present acclaimed jazz vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli in a new monthlong Tuesday residency starting on May 31 at 5:30 PM. After Stravelli opens the series, each month the club will showcase a new artist. Stravelli – who has been compared to the legendary Ella Fitzgerald by the New York Times, hailing her “emotional intelligence,  easy-going confidence and impeccable taste” – will be joined by pianist Michael Kanan  and bassist Pat O’Leary. There is a $20 music charge. The production, which opened on May 2, is running on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W 42nd St).

The Green Room 42 has announced their May line-up for in-person performances. Located inside YOTEL Times Square (570 Tenth Avenue, Fourth Floor), The Green Room 42 is Broadway's newest and most spacious cabaret club.

On Saturday, May 7 at 8:00 pm ET live and in-person, three major, mission-aligned organizations-the Apollo and American Composers Orchestra (ACO), with co-curation by National Black Theatre (NBT)- will present The Gathering: A Collective Sonic Ring Shout.

American Composers Orchestra continues its 2021-2022 season, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel and President Melissa Ngan, with The Gathering: A Collective Sonic Ring Shout co-presented by ACO and the Apollo Theater and co-curated with National Black Theatre in partnership with Gateways Music Festival and Harlem Chamber Players, on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 8pm at the Apollo.

Mark Ravenhill, Co-Artistic Director of The King's Head Theatre, will direct the new production, opening at the world-renowned Islington pub theatre's stage from 26 April and playing until 28 May, with a press night on Tuesday 3 May.
