Second Stage Theater has announced complete casting for the Broadway production of Tracy Letts's Linda Vista. The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the appointment Shantanique Moore, flutist, as the next recipient of the symphony's two-year fellowship designed to enable one young African American musician the ability to dedicate him or herself to the pursuit of an orchestral career. Ms. Moore will be the eighth recipient of a fellowship from the symphony's EQT Orchestra Training Program for African American Musicians (OTPAAM).

Presenting Six concerts in one week, the Cycle 'provides a musical biography of Beethoven's life, highlighting milestones in his musical development,' notes the Emerson's violinist, Eugene Drucker. The nine-time GRAMMY Award-winning Quartet has firmly established its authority in interpreting Beethoven's string quartets since its first Beethoven Cycle performed in 1980 through its complete recording of his quartets on Deutsche Grammophon which won a 1998 GRAMMY Award. Praised by NPR, their 7-CD boxset of Beethoven: The String Quartets 'highlights their brilliance and sheer ability,' and The Gramophone opines, 'They continually offer new insights into some endlessly enthralling music. Quintet of the Americas, Queens' renowned woodwind quintet, will present an evening of new music, including Mexican composer Arturo Marquez's Danza de mediodia, Brazilian-American composer Ricardo Romaneiro's minimalist piece Ventos, Xinyan Li's Mo Suo's Burial Ceremony, Valerie Coleman's Tzigane and Owl City's Fireflies.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Jackie Sibblies Drury's Fairview has officially won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts announced today that the Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center (THPAC) has donated its archives to the Library.

New York City Ballet will open its 2019-20 Season at Lincoln Center on Tuesday, September 17 with George Balanchine's full-length Jewels. The season will continue with 21 weeks of performances, through Sunday, May 31, and will feature 54 ballets and choreography by 12 different choreographers.
