Lifetime has cast Dani Montalvo (Dispatches from Elsewhere) and Luke Humphrey (Tiny Pretty Things) as the controversial couple, Lorena and John Bobbitt, for the Lifetime feature I Was Lorena Bobbitt. Currently in production in Toronto, the film will debut this summer as part of the network's Ripped from the Headlines slate. Following the premiere of the movie, Lifetime will run a PSA for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence featuring the actors and Lorena Bobbitt, as part of Lifetime's public affairs campaign, Stop Violence Against Women.

A few weeks back, I attended the opening night of The Three Musketeers at Orlando Shakes. I marveled, in particular, at a rotating stage and staircase designed by Bert Scott. The way the production team used that stage always impressed me. Imagine my delight when I came back to Orlando Shakes for the opening weekend of HENRY IV, PART 1 and saw that same exact stage now being used to represent 1492 England rather than 1628 France. Part of it is my fault, I didn't know they'd be using the same stage and assumed another theatre space at Orlando Shakes would house HENRY IV. But now knowing that this same space was used for two plays got the wheels in my head turning. It's a genius move on Orlando Shakes' part, creating a very fitting double-feature of entertainment. The same cast, the same stage, but two wholly different stories unfold.

The Museum of Pop Culture today announced the October opening of Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume in partnership with the Walt Disney Archives. Through more than 70 original items including ball gowns, sorcerers' capes, military uniforms, tiaras, and of course glass slippers, the exhibition immerses visitors into the world of Disney and shows how our understanding of its iconic characters is shaped through the artistry and creativity of its costumes. Natalie Morales hosts two new original Behind Closed Doors specials about hit family sitcom The Facts of Life and romantic comedy Pretty Woman which marks its 30th anniversary since hitting the big screen in March 1990. New original special House of Horrors: The Friends Speak explores the Turpin family nightmare in which 13 children were abused by their parents for decades.

Entertainment One (eOne) and Aberdeen, Scotland-based rock quartet Cold Years are excited to announce the Friday, May 8 release of the band's highly anticipated debut album titled Paradise. The name Roger Duvoisin is familiar to Zimmerli audiences: the museum's gallery dedicated to its collection of original children's book illustrations is named in his honor, more than half of that collection consists of Duvoisin's artwork, and numerous exhibitions have celebrated this beloved author and illustrator. Now, Mood Books: The Children's Stories of Alvin Tresselt and Roger Duvoisin delves into one of the most important aspects of his career, a partnership with author Alvin Tresselt that spanned three decades and resulted in 18 books. The exhibition, opening March 14 at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers, features more than 30 original watercolor and gouache illustrations from four of their collaborations: White Snow, Bright Snow, Hide and Seek Fog, It's Time Now!, and What Did You Leave Behind?, all published by Lothrop, Lee & Shepard in New York. The images capture an array of feelings evoked by common experiences that tend to stick with us throughout life in very uncommon ways.
