THE DJANGO will bring another month of stellar jazz by some of the field’s heroes alongside young, emerging artists.

Today, (Friday, April 29th) Newly formed LA-based duo The Monroes, comprised of Molly Kate Kestner and Brock Monroe, released the single and accompanying music video for “Better Half of Me” out now on all streaming platforms. Kestner is best known for her viral hit “His Daughter,” which gained her worldwide attention in 2014.

A follow up to the band’s uber successful 2016 release Live at Red Rocks, the concert was recorded in full as a seven-piece band set, complete with the signature horns and saxophone combo that Rebelution’s live show has become known for, during their 2021 sold-out tour stop at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in Florida.

Producers Brian Anthony Moreland, Sonia Friedman and Tom Kirdahy announced additional cast for the revival of August Wilson’s seminal, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama The Piano Lesson, the first Broadway revival in more than 30 years since the play’s Main Stem premiere in 1990.

Yale Repertory Theatre has announced its 2022–23 season of four plays. The season will begin with Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, running October 6–29. James Bundy, who directed Albee’s A Delicate Balance at Yale Rep in 2010, will stage this new production of the explosively comedic and harrowingly profound masterpiece. 

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced the 2022/23 Season today. Invictus Theatre Founding Artistic Director Charles Askenaizer today announced full casting for the company’s season closing production of Edward Albee’s WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?. In this four-character drama that is often as wickedly funny as it is heartbreaking, two married couples battle with their spouses and each other over an alcohol-fueled night in a small, overstuffed living room. The tension the characters feel in these close quarters will be conveyed to the audience in Askenaizer’s storefront production in the 40-seat Reginald Vaughn Theatre at 1106 W. Thorndale, Chicago. 

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents the dazzling Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo making its long-awaited return to the Center with Romeo and Juliet. Considered by many to be the iconic ballet of renowned choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot, Romeo and Juliet has been performed more than 250 times around the world, usually greeted with rousing standing ovations -- and has been added to the repertoire of seven major dance companies.

Music veteran, John Vento and his longtime blue-collar rock co-horts in Nied's Hotel Band have been releasing their impressive catalog of music since 2004, when Vento and Buddy Hall released 'Nied's Hotel Archives' and 2007's 'Nied's Hotel.'
